I love this guy too! Such a unique style. I should've recognized his style immediately when I played Sonic Rush, but it took me a while.

I've listened through a lot of Naganuma mixes and this transition here has always been the one the that feels 'right' to me.

Following the old arrangement I made some time ago of it called "SR Sunshine" we revisited it and gave it new vocals to celebrate the return of our beloved Blue Blur in the spotlight! :D

Can You Feel The Sunshine '17 (ft. Edobean) [Sonic R Remix]

We produced this remix using Dave Harris and Aivi Tran's stunning original arrangement of this track, and then explored the track further, injecting some of our own influences.

As well as remixing the themes from Planet Wisp in Sonic Colors / Generations, we also included a few hints to the Green Hill Zone Theme and 'His World' from Sonic '06.

Sonic Colors - Planet Wisp Remix (Pascal Michael Stiefel & Laura Platt)

Hideki Naganuma is an acclaimed videogame music composer best known for his work on the Jet Set Radio series. However, he also produced tracks for other lesser known games like Sega Rally 2006, Ollie King, and Sonic Rush. Blending elements of techno, funk, hip hop, and madcap sampling of the big beat genre, Naganuma’s style is often both wildly eclectic yet instantly recognizable.

I’m a die hard Naganuma fan and decided to produce this mix in honor of the re-release of Jet Set Radio on Xbox 360 and PS3. While not all encompassing, I think it gives you a good taste of his defining uptempo tracks. It’s a bit wild in parts for sure, but I included some visual elements in the video to break down what’s happening in the mix.
