Minecraft - Excuse Orchestra

An orchestration of 'Hydroponics' from the System Shock II soundtrack. 

System Shock 2's soundtrack was originally composed by Eric Brosius, Josh Randall & Ramin Djawadi. As with the previous System Shock II track, this was hard to translate to orchestra. It differs slightly from the original and has a few bits of improv here and there. Hope I did it justice!

System Shock II - Hydroponics for Orchestra

An orchestration of 'Ops 2' from the System Shock II soundtrack. System Shock 2's soundtrack was originally composed by Eric Brosius, Josh Randall & Ramin Djawadi. System Shock II - Operations Orchestra

Another original piece this time. I just finished a massive project today so took some time out to practice composing. Post-lullaby-adventures in your sleep, battling dream goblins and saving imaginary princesses and all that jazz. It quite heavily feature's Orange Tree Sample's new Evolution Steel String library which I can definitely recommend to anyone needing acoustic goodness.

Adventures in your sleep

Duet Collaboration Magical Magestical Co-op powers and Sneak preview from recently released second album. A song about wanting to befriend your favourite serial killers, and the consequences of doing so!

If blood and bones are what you want, I suggest that you look behind you.

Blood and Bones

This is a straight remake of a piece from the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood soundtrack by Akira Senju. I wanted to get a close to the original piece as possible using samples only. I remade this from scratch by ear so some notes may be wrong or slightly different - there also may be minor changes due to sample limitations. The string runs also sound awful. If anyone can recommend a decent string run library (other than OSR) or a technique with multisamples I'd appreciate it :)

The Youtube video shows FL Studio playing back the piece for anyone who's interested - the timing is a little off but it's too late to fix that and I want to be done with this piece.

The first draft of this song was recorded way back in 2011, so it's great to finally have it finished. If you ever dropped into one of the Lazy Sunday Livestreams you probably heard it in some early form! The instrumental itself was long-ago-released as 'Adventures in Your Sleep' from one of the Originals albums, but has since been remade, remastered and extended.

I know, I know. This is about the 5th time I've remixed the boss pieces. I just haven't felt that I've captured the theme in all it's evil glory yet, so here's another try. This time  it stays quite true to the originals and utilises the new CineBrass album to give some epic brass crazyness.

We'll just have to see how happy I am with this one and whether I'll attack it again at a future date :)

Calm1 from Minecraft orchestated. It's quite a calming piece so woodwinds were used with softer strings to keep the feel of the piece while adding a LOT of orchestral colours and elements.

This is the instrumental from a collaboration between Brentalfloss and myself. He pitched me the awesome idea of Bioshock themed 30s/40s tune and pinged me an awesome piano track and I diddled about and came up with this.

Just a little remake of Lullaby of Resembool from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood's awesome soundtrack. I've been working on a sample library recently and not had any time to compose so I figured I'd have a quick play with it. Made in roughly an hour or so from start to finish.

Didn't think I'd have to put this, but ::Disclaimer:: This is not a demo of Sable and is not made to demonstrate it's capabilities - there will be plenty of demos on the Spitfire site showing what it can do. This is simply me playing about with a new toy I helped make to recreate a piece of music I love.
