This song came from a moment of realization I could no longer ignore.

I’ve spent a lot of my life searching. Always moving toward something. Always upgrading, reinventing, pushing forward. New goals, new cities, new versions of myself. From California to Europe. From Barcelona to Madrid. From one chapter to the next, believing that the next move, the next achievement, the next relationship would finally bring a sense of arrival.

But somewhere along the way, I started asking myself a harder question. What am I actually looking for?

Is it professional success and recognition. Big ambitious projects that prove I’m doing something meaningful. Is it freedom, distance, movement. Is it love, marriage, companionship, validation through relationships. Is it money, lifestyle, clothes, status, the next car, the next external symbol that says I’ve made it.

Or is it something else entirely.

This song doesn’t come from certainty. It comes from sitting with the discomfort of not knowing. From noticing that even after achieving things, even after moving across the world, there is still a feeling of searching. A quiet sense that something is missing, but not being able to name it.

“I Need Something” is about that inner tension. The space between wanting more and not knowing what more actually is. The realization that chasing external upgrades doesn’t automatically create internal peace. The question of whether the search itself has become part of who I am.

This isn’t an answer.
It’s a moment of reflection.
