Last year we stumbled upon a couple of great modern Bubbling tracks from The Hague-based producer God Full Effect (Guillermo Schuurman) who turned out to be the very same guy who made a name for himself in the Dutch club circuit around 2008 as 'De Schuurman' at age 17, alongside his cousins Shaun-D and Master-D. Back then, you would see people freak out to De Schuurman's frenetic killer track 'Nu Ga Je Dansen' at (meanwhile defunct) Rotterdam venues like Club Hollywood.

Whereas Guillermo's current @godfulleffect alias is all about versatility, producing Rap productions, almost gothic Chill Trap and other styles, the late 2000s sound of his alter ego De Schuurman occupies the same musical twilight zone known as Bubbling House that was also cultivated by his aforementioned cousins and producers like Anti-G (Planet Mu) – a sound that layered manic Caribbean drum loops over Fruity Loops synths. 

In our bid to include and honour this half-forgotten but awesome sound at our events, we booked God Full Effect for a De Schuurman-style set at a Pantropical in Worm on the 6th of July 2019. Here's the edit of his blistering DJ mix that night. 

Guillermo Schuurman: "the set I played at Pantropical was one of my favorites in recent times due to the fact that I could literally play what I wanted and didn't have to commit to anything in particular. It includes many tracks from the past that I produced, roughly between 2008 and 2011, and gave me the inspiration to do more gigs like this, next to making more of this type of tracks because it comes out more natural. This sound is being picked up by more and more people, and in various countries, so I'd like to see this continue. Stay safe during these challenging times!"
