Lead by core members James Brighouse & Sam Johnson BLAME arrive armed with a swag of catchy, guitar driven pop gems. 

Disenchanted with the sounds of modern rock; founding members Brighouse and Johnson decided to revisit their core influences; those that drove them toward the guitar all those years ago. 

“Spinning those old albums rekindled my enthusiasm for rock‘n’roll….” Says Brighouse when discussing Blame’s ‘inception’.

Re-engaging with those old records provided BLAME with a refreshing sound; one which combined the old and the new and one which soon seemed to be snowballing in front of them… 

“Sometimes you can be so focussed, striving for the next thing that you often don’t realise how far off track you’ve come…” Say’s Johnson, “So it’s like we had to look back and find our starting point again…in doing that we re-discovered our old ‘likes’ and that old ‘spark’… we were playing just for fun, enjoying it and having no real expectations… The album was written before we knew it and that wasn’t even our initial plan! We set out to enjoy music again…and when you’re doing that, inspiration seems to flow freely”

The bands current line up features core members James Brighouse on guitar, Sam Johnson on vocals & guitar, Craig Bunting on bass, Anthony Weaver on guitar & keys and Toby Caffery on drums.
