Welcome to Side B of #32weeks! As a reminder to those who been rolling with me so far(and to the new customers 😉) we are now in phase 3 of the 4 parts. This phase's topics/feelings/concepts involve:

This week's track explores the issues of infidelity to a degree, just pointing out my mistakes as a significant other. Jay-Z brings this up on 4:44; "Kill Jayz".  I also went through my own phase of not knowing how to lean into the love that my partner was offering me. Taking the relationship for granted. Just not giving her my all. I made so many dumb moves, mostly out of attention seeking, not loving myself, and distracted in the worst ways. Eric Benet replied to Jay's track with a tweet: "Hey yo #Jayz! Just so ya know, I got the baddest girl in the world as my wife....like right now! ✌🏾" To his point, my use of the couple is the idea that my wife IS the baddest, and most beneficial part of my life! Having this attitude and perspective allowed me to open up more and truly give her the love she deserves! (Don't get it twisted, still fall short daily, but still progressing). 
After highlighting the wifey, we go in with bars...I hope you dig 'em.
My favorite run of lines is the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball bars.

Greetings to all those that are still riding with me through this journey. This Week Cato shares his proposal story. It's got drama, suspense, and more. But in a quick summary, I had been in Columbia, Mo for a job interview as I was planning on transferring from St. Louis. During that weekend Erin knew I was going to propose, but didn't know when. We had went to dinner and I purposely refused to be that cliché. The next day, I asked her via text to meet me at Martin Luther King Memorial Garden. I blindfolded her, walked to the setup. The Line about "a recipe" is true thing. Erin hates cooking, but is so good. She prefers baking and is amazing. Anyway, the recipe was a poem, "A recipe for a Good Relationship". I was so sweaty! I knew she was going to say Yes, but the nerves were still shaky. I think that its dope that I proposed over 10 years ago, now I get to write about it, and share it. It's a blessing that I am grateful for. - Cato

Welcome to Side B of #32weeksMixtape! We are  making our way through part 4 of  4. This phase's topics/feelings/concepts involve: 💝Love/Acceptance/Ownership/Independence💝

Hello again! We have reached week 29, and I don't know about you, but I am tired! Phew! Cool thing is #32weeksmixtape will be wrapping up very soon. As of this moment, I have 2 videos left to record(green screen), and I am not going to lie, I am struggling to figure how to visually end this project. A lot of my ideas are looking like I will have to spend some time developing certain skills or understandings in order to make them into reality. Anyway, this track was a doozy to write and record. I am a fairly new listener of Earl. His work on "Faces" and other Mac projects made me realize how lyrically advanced he was. Like...I know this is gonna sound like a stretch, but....Earl's weird flow/off putting delivery (especially on 2010) reminds me of Nas. Nas is the King of switching up rhyme schemes, and rhythms that make it hard to guess how he would connect a rhyme and the sounds he would choose to use in that rhyme.  
My message in this one is pretty straight forward: I have found my way, my path, and I am traveling down that road right now. When I say: "Eating at  my table there's a place for you. You're always welcome. And this plate, it was made for you. I'mma add another leaf to make room for some new faces..."; I am telling those who work with me, or know me, that:
1. there's no malice in my intent; you want to eat with me? join me! 
2. I am making my table bigger to allow for growth and to invite more individuals to the cause with me/us. 
This quote is the summary of the whole track, but also my favorite double entrendre...  😉
