Finally we are back with a new Austere release!  It's been a long time coming but we hope everyone who has supported us in the past will continue to do so and we hope that you like it!  Release date is around 11th March 2022.

BS Radio VOL.02, the second compilation made of brand new and fresh tracks curated by @carnevaliakavolantis and @acidgigi.

'Green Wall' atmosphere relies on lush pads which contrast with the rhythmical pattern enriched with a cascade of percussion. Dreamy synths kick in in the second half of the track, empowering the ethereal mood of the track.

In the words of the curators, this compilation is a shifting journey driven by the desire to make people dance again, embracing the night and abandoning themselves to the music.
It’s an energy, an hymn to the club culture as we were used to know it, sweating and feeling free on the dancefloor.

With a busy year coming to an end, Tartelet Records is taking a step back to pause and reflect. Releasing November 30th, “Medusozoa Vol II is a compilation of 20 introspective, ambient and downtempo tracks from across the planet – all carefully selected for their healing qualities,” explains Tartelet label head, Emil Margetli Nyholm.

Alongside previously unreleased material by Space Ghost, Zopelar, Glenn Astro, Max Graef and Uffe, the album also features recent signings the likes of ABUNAI, Athletic Whippet, Brynjolfur, Doc Sleep and Sans Merit (a new project by Francis Inferno Orchestra), plus a few classics from the back catalogue courtesy of Henry Wu & Tito Wun, among others.

Whether taking listeners back to a time in the past, to a daydream in the future, or fully immersing them into the present, all tracks were selected for their restorative and relaxing qualities, giving listeners a reason to find comfort in today’s climate of uncertainty.

Left Ear Records and Mixed Signals team up again to refresh Litia~Loe’s mid-90s album Life Love Dance. On this timeless release, the group channel the golden age of Nu Groove, foundational Warp releases, and the Ibiza days of New Order, all rooted in a uniquely Chicago sound.

Five years after their EBM-tinged cerebral house anthem “Each Dawn Every Dawn”, the Litia~Loe (Life In The Insane Asylum = Life On Earth) crew dropped a lush album of wider proportion — six songs that feel more mature, more confident. Yet, despite this cultivated style, they continue to maintain the distinctive jest of their first outing. Grant, Leon, and Simeon’s new approach was more exploratory, traversing adventurous channels of pop, wave, IDM, and house. Not only are the songs more varied, but the growth of the trio’s technical skills are apparent. These songs feel more considered, like they have been refined over time, given just the right amount of polish without losing the ecstatic rawness that gives them breath and bounce.

“The Rush” follows the crooked path that was featured in their first single, with a vocal performance that maintains a murky half-singing-half-spoken-word opacity; the optimistic lyrics juxtaposed with sinister synthetic strings. “Whisper To Me” demonstrates a new side to the group which shows their ability to break from an orthodox house sound and highlights their pop sensibilities with a narcotic Depeche Mode-ish bassline. “Peep Show” reveals a mellower mode, drenched in euphoric echo and sensuous synth pads. Also featured on this reissue is an unreleased CD instrumental “First World” having its first ever vinyl release.

Life Love Dance captures the sound of primetime Chicago melodic house music, but offers something more expansive. Uninhibited by the borders of genre, the trio took a more inclusive approach to their music, which catalysed in a playful and peerless production style which makes their work stand out from the droves of generic dance records from that era.

Lehult stronghold's and shareholders, Lucky Charmz & Dj Assam have a team up for new project, Rossum Universal Tracks, delivering the star gazing four tracker, 'Ebaum's Dreamland'.

With each original track on the EP more hazy and ethereal than the last, Smallville co-head honcho, Julius Steinhoff brings the title track back to earth with a more familiar, dance laden gravitational pull. Swung glitchy percussion anchors the ethereal melody of Ebaum's Dreamland with some of Julius' hallmark production quirks shining through. PREMIERE: Rossum Universal Tracks - Ebaum's Dreamland (Julius Steinhoff Remix) [Lehult]

Hell Yeah's Marco has been busy trawling the internet for new talents during lockdown. The result is a series of digital releases which will be rolling out in the coming months, kicking off with a new EP from Kayroy.

Kayroy is Finnian Langham, an artist from Melbourne, Australia, who in the last 12 months has released on Whiskey Disco and TheBasement, turning plenty of heads with his mature, sampladelic interpretations of funk, disco, house, boogie and soul. He got in touch with the label via email to ask for the vocal version of Giorgia Morandi's 'Children of the Sky'. "I couldn't find it," says Marco, "but after that he sent me a bunch of tracks that make up this EP. To my ears, it is fast, funked-up boogie with heavy Italo disco influences, acid and breakbeat, making it a very fresh selection to my ears."

Opener ‘Imagine’, produced with fellow Melbournite GREETINGS, is a glistening space disco cut with a sense of nostalgia rushing through its retro-future chords. It's filled with positive energy and gorgeous arps. 'Orbitale’ will get your butt wiggling with its sci-fi chord stabs and boogie bass. The whole thing shimmers and shines like a star in the night sky, filling you with warmth. The grown-up disco vibes continue on 'Galapagos' with its mellow acid bass, big stabs and kaleidoscopic arpeggios. The release is topped-off with a remix of ‘Imagine’ from Dawn Again, taking you to an old school chill-out room with its dreamy chords and hazy breakbeats, sinking you deep into a post-rave comedown.

The walls were covered in paint, a magnificent kaleidoscope of colours and splatters. Wandering through the city streets it were as if he was walking through some great myriad or collage, each time he turned his head he was blown away by the detail and creative flourishes. The streets echoed with chanting, singing and dancing - it was carnival season and people were lively and danced freely as if they had not a care in the world. Some might call this place paradise...

Boundary is an up and coming musician from the Dominican Republic, he releases a new EP via longstanding London label and party series Secretsundaze. A percussive, highly danceable affair which is as inviting as it is mysterious.

In the final curation of 2020 we raise a glass to Takis Shelter with a diverse collection of jams showcasing everything from blissed out jazz, funked up house, rich balearic trips and a little sprinkle of joy inducing disco. These come from a selection of our good friends across the planet who have kindly contributed their tracks to make this release happen, a big thanks to the time and effort that everybody has put into this.

100% of the proceeds from this compilation will go directly to Takis Shelter. As someone who has his roots in the music scene, Takis turned his attention from partying all night whilst running his own nightclub, to well, partying all night with more than 450 of dogs and cats that he saved from landfills and rubbish dumps in Crete. After giving up everything he owned to open his shelter, he nearly had to give up the refuge but donations made it possible for him to go on.
