About M.I.T.A.:

Mattia Borriello, better known as M.I.T.A., born in ’90, started his career at the age of 14.
During the years he improved his skills in studio and he decided to spend a couple of hours more in his studio working on his first tracks.
Still young, M.I.T.A. released an ep on Phobiq, neapolitan label born from techno master Sasha Carassi.
From that point everything changed: in 2010 the young producer made a remix for “Polychromatic” and, after a while, he received remixes from worlwide known artists such as Audio Injection, Paul Mac and The Advent & Industryalizer just to name a few.
2014 is an awesome year: “Level Down” ep born in collaboration with techno guru The Advent, appeared on Mixmag magazine as top release of the month (December).
Friendship with Cisco becomes stronger so both djs decided to come back in studio together.
In 2015 M.I.T.A. assigned track to labels such as Elevate and Analytic Trail and he started a really nice collaboration with Lucas Freire, better known as Dj Lukas in the hard-techno scene.
His works didn’t pass unnoticed and his tracks were played by Tim Xavier, Dj Emerson, Alan Fitzpatrick, Pig&Dan, Tomy DeClerque, Sian and Gary Beck to name a few.

The air was warm, thick, heavy, sluggish. The long stretches of the waterway ran on, deserted, into the gloom of overshadowed distances…and this stillness of life did not in the least resemble a peace. It was the stillness of an implacable force brooding over an inscrutable intention. It looked at you with a vengeful aspect. As I slowly penetrated ever so deeper into this heart of darkness my soul was set ablaze with an infinity of wonders that I discovered…”

Heart Of Darkness

I am a lover of many musical styles. I have been a spectator/patron only in the electronic music scene since 1995... but the itch has finally gotten too nagging to ignore... so I'm starting to scratch (production & djing) I have never owned a set of turntables, cd decks or a microphone... I have always just dinked and dunked around in software programs never really doing anything worthy of being played out... but this is all about to change. Right now my setup is a PC + 2 Electrix Midi Tweakers + Evolution MK-249C2 (49Key midi controller) and an m-audio x-session pro (digital midi mixer) I am currently DJing with Traktor and am also starting to seriously educate myself on Ableton's Live & Bitwig Studio software... I have dabbled with Propellerhead's Reason in the past and will most likely continue to use that as well as I find it to be a very creative and intuitive piece of software, great for turning idea's into digitally formatted musical exploitations. Originally, as a kid, I wanted to play guitar (metal!!!) and my parents, being the wiser ones (which I now know), made me take piano first, but being the stubborn idiot I was I quit after 4yrs of being trained by a Russian classical pianist... luckily most of that training has stuck with me or I'd probably not even be attempting any of this... heh... anyways... that's my story and I'm sticking to it... =)
