UNDERFELL - NIGHTMARE KNIGHT (Papyrus' Theme)

Couple days ago I got really bored and summoned this out of my bowels.
Everything's remade from memory (except for the square and brass sections, which I copied from an older flp of mine), so if something's inaccurate I don't really care to be honest.
You could consider this a cover, but I'm not sure if it's different enough to count? I didn't change the scores too much

I think this is the best mixing I've done (so far) on a song, no odd limiter nonsense and the drums actually sound really good for once (In my opinion.........)
I've definitely improved a lot (compare this to my last Megalovania cover... dear god... go listen to that one and then compare.)
If it's quiet, turn your volume up. You control the volume knob

Random tidbits:

- This is the first song I've actually completed that uses Addictive Drums 2, specifically the "United Heavy" ADPak. When I finished writing the drum track I used the FL humanize function so it sounds live(ish) but I'm not a master at programming drums so it might be a bit iffy. I was also a little scared to crank the humanize knob up too far so I dunno, might sound like I did nothing

- I purchased Kontakt so this uses Shreddage X and Shreddage Bass. Somehow only took me a little under a month to fully master it. The rhythm guitar is quad tracked and I used powerchords for the solo.

- Yes, it has the harp.

- I was gonna include a lead guitar solo but an issue occured when I realized had to write a lead guitar solo

I'm probably going to make one of these every 12-ish months just to mark progression in skill, with more adjustments in mixing and composure along the way. I'm not gonna start adding smash megalo stuff or anything, I'd like to keep it feeling like an improvement to the UT Megalovania instead of a subjective cover (if that makes sense)

I hope you guys have been enjoying this recent style I've been composing lately! I've also been trying to be more consistent, let me know if I have been. oh btw these are literally stock flm drums 💀 (except the cymbals and rides, those are shreddage drums)

THE MURDER - aced

I made this a few months ago and figure I'd just post it since it's basically done. I quickly mastered it in like 30 minutes; if it's a bit quiet that's cause I didn't want to slam it into the master compressor too much. Just turn your volume up if you need to.

I'm probably gonna make an alt or something to post all my unfinished stuff because there's a lot of stuff I get three quarters through finishing and then give up on. The only reason I post so many Megalovania covers is because they're easy to make lol. I may also just post it all here but I'd probably run out of minutes pretty fast.

If you're one of my two adoring fans you might've noticed I removed a few tracks off my account. That's mostly 'cause I wanna keep a specific quality standard, so I removed stuff like the IRSE cover I threw together in an hour and the old Matpat Spamton theme. Everything I don't really like now. 
Including the Gaster Megalovania. Originally I was gonna keep it up for the memories but Megalovania 2024 passed it in plays so I decided I want it to be lost media. I'll probably revisit it in the far future (Gaster Megalovania is a way more popular concept now that the new Deltarune chapters have released), but it'll sound way different.

Speaking of the future, here's a list of songs I wanna cover in no particular order:
      - Creating Darkness (Vision Crew. I've been trying for like a year lmao)
      - MUSCLEMEMORY (T.S. Underswap. I like the guitar riff. Might just be an arrangement if I can't figure out anything cool to do with it)
      - TV WORLD (Deltarune. I think arranging it would be fun)
      - BIG SHOT (Deltarune. I was just gonna try to turn it into a really weird metal song)
      - Hopes & Dreams (Undertale. I'll probably do this for the upcoming UT anniversary in the style of this track -- just a general 'upgrade' to the original song with most of the vibe intact)

There's also a few original songs I'm working on, but I dunno when they'll be done 'cause I keep completely changing the entire composition, so ...
As Megalovania is a yearly thing I'll obviously revisit this next year, but while the composition will be similar it'll probably sound different. Megalovania usually sounds big and dense but I think I might try a laid back, more acoustic mix with less compressed drums and more focus on the arrangement and sound selection. (Eg. just one violin and cello and horn with multiple parts in the song). It'll still undoubtedly be Megalovania, I'm not turning it into lounge jazz, but it might have a slightly different and more cohesive feel.
