"City pop (シティーポップ sitī poppu) is a loosely defined subset of pop music that originated in Japan in the late 1970s. It was originally termed as an offshoot of Japan's Western-influenced "new music", but came to include a wide range of styles associated with the country's nascent economic boom, such as AOR, soft rock, R&B, funk, and boogie."  – This mix is a fine selection of my favorite records digged between Tokyo and Osaka. I hope you will enjoy it.

BLASTER B - CITY POP

Straight out of a time capsule from the 80’s, Blaster B is a Funk aficionado, and member of “The Chosen Few” crew. The Lausanne native has performed in local, and international clubs, for the past 15 years and was an opening act for different inspirational artists such as Kurtis Blow, Shabazz The Disciple, Big Daddy Kane, Stretch Armstrong, Pharoahe Monch, Maylay Sparks and Egyptian Lover. His inspiration is deep rooted from the 4 essential elements of Hip-Hop. He's also the co-founder of Big Mood Records and performing live with his group The Electric Three.

From recordings mixtapes to rocking dancefloors, his unique way of presenting, and preserving, the  sounds of the 80’s, will transport you into his universe.
