Axonberg, who emerged as the winner of the Nuits Sonores 2022 competition, is a part of the Prisme collective and is also closely associated with the POLAAR label for which he recently performed at Le Sucre alongside Dbridge and Flore. With this podcast, he once again showcases his remarkable skill in effortlessly transitioning between his influences such as jungle, hard drum, rap, breaks or garage. 

His debut production, 'Nexus,' was released in January 2022 on the Serbian label Nü Kvlture, and he is now a resident on Egregore Radio, a prominent figure in the alternative bass music scene.

It's been over 20 years since I started DJing Drum and bass with the collective Killabass and as a resident DJ at Pulse club (Madrid), where artists like Andy C, Hype, Ed Rush & Optical, and many others performed. At that time, the musical policy of the clubs was different, and it wasn't common to mix different styles in one night. That was one of the reasons why I decided to lower the BPMs a bit and not confine myself to just one thing. After so long, I was eager to do a drum & bass set, a style from which I've learned techniques that are always present in my sets, such as double drops and teases. Let this mix, recorded live at the Brrrrrrap party (Siroco Club, Madrid), serve as a small tribute to a style that I owe so much to.

Blastto's life has always been linked to club culture and electronic music. In his case literally: his father was the manager of a club in Guadalajara, where, from very early on, Blastto could be found behind the decks. For the last five years he has lived in London, a city from where he curates the Total Trax platform, carefully labeled with the aesthetics of video games of the 90's and music heavily influenced by rave, gabber and trance, especially clear in his own productions. A producer and restless activist, Blastto has also released on other platforms of note such as Nightwaves' Heka Trax and is also co-founder of Brrrrrap, a collective that was born from the union of several blogs, resulting in an event that has hosted Mumdance, Teki Latex or L-Vis 1990, among others. His most recent EP Las Palomas has received the support of scene agitators such as Lorenzo Senni and Danny L Harle, and reflects the golden age of clubs in Spain in the 90's and 2000's - a moment that marked Blastto uniquely and which he has reinterpreted with a totally avant-garde and very personal style.
