Blatant 001 — Maugli

Human relations are the root of everything and this friendly mixtape just confirms it. The second podcast in this series is recorded by our friend from France – Alma @wtnsmusic. Alma is a top-notch selector, the former and the voice of the Envelope Cruz. We wanted to compare this mixtape with a good wine, to say a couple of words about aging, flavors and aftertaste, however we bet these metaphors are needless here. This mix is a pure high, and unlikely with the wine you don't need to allow it to breathe before tasting. Enjoy!

The mixtape truly pays tribute to the roots music creators - from late 70's dubs to the present-day marvellous sounds.

A personal audio-map, where each favorite track becomes a point of convergence between memory and the present. Electro, post-punk, bass — all fused into a dark pulse, leaving behind only a fragile trace.

Он долго ждал своего часа — и, может, именно поэтому звучит особенно точно.
То, что звучит здесь, — не просто подборка, а хроника состояний на грани интуиции. Личная аудиокарта, где каждый трек-фаворит становится точкой пересечения памяти и настоящего. Электро, пост-панк, бас — всё сливается в тёмную пульсацию, оставляя после себя лишь зыбкий след.

Этот микс — продолжение серии, начатой вместе с Jeddah. Первый сет назывался «Горящий торфяник» — запах, знакомый каждому екатеринбуржцу: на первый взгляд безобидный, чуть тревожный, иногда даже сладкий, но в действительности предвестник медленно разворачивающейся лесной катастрофы. Второй микс прозвучал на Mutant Radio в передаче Druga Liga от Olta Karawane.

Теперь я один, с чуть более светлым ощущением музыки. Новый сет продолжает линию: тягучая, разножанровая музыка становится метафорой того, как из распада рождается жизнь, как в болоте шумов и полутонов пробиваются хрупкие цветы. Здесь звуковая ткань балансирует между экспериментальной электроникой и даунтемпо, впитывая элементы эмбиента, IDM и трип-хопа. В этом переплетении возникает новое звучание — и новое ощущение мира.

This mix continues the series that began with Jeddah. The first set, Burning Peatland, evoked a scent familiar to every Yekaterinburg native: seemingly harmless, slightly anxious, at times even sweet — yet in truth a harbinger of a slow-moving forest catastrophe. The second mix was broadcast on Mutant Radio within Olta Karawane’s Druga Liga.

Now I stand alone, with a somewhat brighter sense of sound. This new set follows the same line: viscous, cross-genre music becomes a metaphor for how life emerges from decay, how fragile flowers break through the swamp of noise and half-tones. The sonic fabric here balances between experimental electronics and downtempo, absorbing elements of ambient, IDM, and trip-hop. Out of this weave a new resonance arises — and with it, a renewed perception of the world.
