It's the early morning semi-acapella version of Teddy's House groove Good Morning Love. A beautiful little track but we all agreed there wasn't enough of it - needless to say
you can guess who drew the short straw :))

Not a lot to play with but have stretched it out a little and added some nice rhythm's.

Not so much a rare track but one that went under the radar and passed a few Angie devotee's by. This got tucked away on the OST of a film called 'Bamboozled' (yes, that oscar winning worldwide blockbuster) back in 2000. Anyways, I thought I'd dig it out and give the little gem a re-vibe. Hope you like...

The great Al Green. A lot of folks don't get passed his 'Greatest Hits' probably because the Rev gets a bit too....errr....well,'reverendish'. Now I'm not your go to church every Sunday type of fella but think this track is an exception and somewhat overlooked. As the old saying goes 'the message is in the music' and believe the world is a far better place for tunes like this.

Made some extended edits in here trying to keep the gospel feel and gave the track a re-rub. Hope you like...

Found this unfinished MP3 edit I started on a few years back but didn't do anything with it as my fellow fiddler Mark Jordan(SOS) beat me to the punch and put out his own re-rub. Not a big fan of speeding tracks up but this one just about gets away with it.

Do you have records that you have totally forgotten about....or is it just me getting old and senile?

Top man Richard Marzetti played this on his Solar radio show a few weeks back (check him out 6 - 8 Thursday nights for great modern soul and jazz funk classics , plug ,plug... I only take cash Richard).

I remembered I bought a Ralph Tee Soul Source compilation back in about 94/95 solely for this track and it probably hasn't seen the light of day for the last 10 years!!

Not a bad record for a bunch of blue eyed Aussies and here's my take on it.

If you haven't heard (where have you been!!), Mario has got a new album out and this is the first single off it.

I'm not exactly sure how I managed to squeeze such a long intro out of a three and a half minute track(!) but I hope I have just about got away with it (god bless beer:))  )

Just a little re-touch of Johnny Britt's (who is one half of Impromp2) little 'Marvinesque' groove.

I have beefed it up slightly and smuggled in a few bits of the great man himself.

Feels So Good (Blazing Encore's Right On Re-Vibe) - Johnny Britt

Guilty pleasures, huh. C'mon, we all have them. I bet you're breaking out in a cold sweat reading this now thinking, 'sh*t...how does he know about my Barry Gibb or Babs Streisand tracks secreted in the back of my crates!!'

I fancied doing something a little different this time round so I am outing myself..........I'm coming out of the closet.........raising my hand and admitting that this is one of my mine. Sorry dad........I'm not the son you thought I was.

I found the original of this in The End of History' s pages which is a wonderful Aladdin's cave of among other delights, some terrific 70's musical eclecticity (ok yeah...I think I probably made that word up). I defy you not to venture in there and come out with something that you will secretly listen to under the bed sheets when the wife is asleep.

I chose this track to remix because it brought back fond memories of me growing up as a young kid at that time. It reminded me of settling down in front of the TV to watch all those cheesy American cop shows, my mums fondue parties, and my first....errr... 'trouser twitcher moments' lusting after the likes of Farah Fawcett, Wonder Woman and Jenny Hanley on Magpie (a UK after school tv programme).

The track is taken off an album called Brian Bennett at KPM 1973-1976 Aim Higher. KPM was an american 'sound Library'. They would pay musicians and writers a pittance to do this stuff
and then American TV company's would buy it to slip into their shows as it was so much cheaper than scoring it themselves. As for Brian Bennett the guy who wrote and orchestrated this...
well he used to be the drummer for Hank Marvin and his Sir Cliffness in The Shadows! Ain't music great!

Now I appreciate that this isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea but if you do DL then a comment or a fav would be appreciated. Mum's the word and I promise I won't tell anyone......

This track came out in 2009 and totally passed me by.

I came upon the original here http://soundcloud.com/lin-taylor/cant-get-you-out-of-my-head on Lin Taylor's SC page who posts some great modern indie soul if you are interested.

The track really reminds of Dina Carroll................(or maybe I'm just in a drunken haze again!), so kept an old school feel to the mix.

Beefed this up a bit, extended it out, added some horns, some synths....................aww hell, I threw the kitchen sink at it!

When I first set out on this journey this was one of the very first tracks that I had a go at mixing. I was very much a newbie then
and even though I posted it on SC I really wasn't very happy with it and therefore never made it downloadable.
Looking back I was pretty clueless when I first did it but now I'm that I'm a little older and a little wiser I'm happy to report that I 
still am!! 

Anyways, I had a lot of requests for the original mix so decided to have another stab at it. You're all clever cookies so I'll let you figure what I've done to it :))

I don't know about you, but by the time I have found somewhere to put my beer down and made it to the dance floor, this anthem has practically finished so thought I would have a crack at stretching it out. Obviously an old track so a few warts I'm afraid....but I like to call them 'character' :))

A veteran jazz funker, I have been listening and collecting soul, dance and jazz for the past 35 years and is a very important part of my life. Inspired by listening to some of the great grooves, mixes and re-edits that are currently out there I figured I should do something with all the music I have amassed and which I love and adore. I have never DJ'd and what I know about music I could write on the back of a cigarette packet ( I know, I know, it shows!), but thought I'd give this a go. I'm into all genres of soul, dance and nu jazz and like to dust off a little gem which never quite made it out there and give it a fresh vibe.

I started remixing in August 2011 just fooling around on Garageband with just my intuition and a little help from Youtube to get me started. I am now working on Logic 9 and am trying to produce some of my own tracks as well as remixing.Not having a musical bone in my body can be a little frustrating at times so if there are any budding, or indeed accomplished, musicians, vocalists, 12 piece horn sections (!) who have a soulful or jazzy vibe that would like to do some collaboration work then I’d love to hear from you….as I would any mastering guru’s – Jeeesh, what son of a bit*h invented that!! :))

I am truly amazed I actually have a following here on SC and that people are actually listening and downloading my stuff. To you, I would like to say a BIG thank you for all your kindness and words of encouragement, and to those DJ’s on Solar, Starpoint, SoulLegends, JFS, Soulmine, Soulpower,Stomp JazzFM, Back2Back and everyone else that has been brave enough to actually  air some of this stuff – it means a lot!
