This has been the most complicated track that I've composed so far. For a while, I didn't think that it was going to work out. I had a drum sequence that I really liked and had taken about 6 hours to create and edit. Delay was used throughout the sequence. Then I recorded the opening bassline (starting at around :32). A very minimal level of distortion was applied to the bass synth so as to not be totally clean. I was experimenting with this method, because on smaller speakers sometimes a clean bass sound is not able to be heard and I wanted all of the frequencies to be audible on any method of playback. After the opening bassline the song really became a struggle (or a challenge) to piece together. I totally deleted several synth tracks that didn't seem to fit and started over with just the drums and the bassline a couple of times. Next came the synth pad at the beginning. I mixed some pink noise with the notes, a fast tremolo and a slow auto-pan synched at 120BPM and used the cutoff filter to create a fleeting sensation of sound coming and going in and out. Shifting of high and low frequencies. A slow rate of auto-pan synched with the BPM was used extensively throughout on the drums and instrument tracks. I used a combination of fuzz and distortion as well as compression to create a harmonic effect on the arpeggiated synth leads and also phase and flange kick in on the drums at around 1:20. Compression at various settings and panning was used on several tracks to try and create a feeling of depth and width. Like the sounds are coming from either front/back, left/right, far/near, above/below. Finally, a lot of time was spent adjusting the relative volume levels/EQ of the instrument tracks so as be able to hear them all clearly and have basically a level overall volume with only the distorted/fuzz section having a slight rise in volume. I lost count of how many tracks are included in the song, because quite a few were merged together to save space. Over 20. The atmosphere of the closing segment inspired me to chose the title.

Some may remember him from the DDB hits, "Seasons", "She's Hot", "Remember Me", and "Star" which are all still popular headbangers on the KC/KCK club scene. But, now Blazze is out here making a name for himself as a solo artist with a little twist...

In January of 2012 the fellas of DDB decided to take a break and focus on life at home and individual projects, this left Blazze to handle all aspects of the group alone. Well, in April of 2011 he was asked to join the every growing popular family of No Leaks, of whom had been scouting him out while Blazze was with DDB. He brought to No Leaks a raw sound of vocals and rap skills that has yet to be reckoned with. With No Leaks , Blazze has had the opportunity of opening for headliners such as Stevie Stone (Strange Muzik), Ruka Puff (Universal) and a host of other major artists. Touring over 10 states and 50 cities in his career. In 2014 Blazze is now with Lay It Down Entertainment LLC as an independent solo artist in which provides him the chance to still shine as a solo artist. Also Blazze has teamed up with the Lay It Down CEO Mista Siccs and they formed the infamous duo Blazze n Siccs.


In 2011 Blazze became blind due to a few health issues and because of his fans he kept pushing. Feb of 2012 Blazze received surgery and gained most of his sight and is back to make the city rock once again. While Blazze was blind he started a squad called F.A.M.E for the fans meaning ( FANS ARE MY ENERGY)... Without the fans Blazze couldn't have made it and he thanks em all.


Blazze is a talented singer, rapper, mc, and writer with a humble but hungry appetite to get where he needs and wants to be in this music industry. He will be dropping his album release some time this summer so stay tuned for that. We ask that you please continue to listen to the music and spread the word, and look out for DDB because they as a whole will be back hitting the airwaves soon as well.
