The Black Light Disco Show enters the orbit of planet myhouseradio.fm once again with another two hour Monday sulk-buster to set you up nicely for the week ahead!

Its the start of a new month, and as we head into the autumnal haze the Pookie Knights lads are setting up in the Stevie Wonder Bistro here in BLD Towers, ready for a summer farewell set as they head off to Ibiza to play at the closing parties. 

For the first hour, we’re treated to a very special all vinyl set from the lads, featuring killer grooves from Phonk D, Mattei & Omich feat. Ella, Just Jam, D. Marco and Topaz to name but a few.  Heading up the second hour the case of deadly tunes is opened and includes tracks from the likes of Kyna, Frank Rodger, Dino Soccio, The Patchouli Brothers and Milano Edizone.

He's the gaffer behind the much-loved Borderline club night in South-West London and a proud member of the Waltons family & co-hosts the award-winning Feel Good Friday Show with Pete Ellison. For his own productions he takes rare disco gems and transforms them into new and inventive edits, which you can mainly find on vinyl, with a few occasional digital releases. "For this one I went for the “almost italo” sound of late 70s disco - think early sequenced synths, orchestrated breaks, erotic lyrics in Italian and all the other good stuff that was the foundation of later italo, house and disco. The Black Light Disco Show which aired on www.myhouseradio.fm on Monday 16th March 2020 is here for your listening pleasure during these difficult and worrying times. Kicking things off we had BLD's Dynamic Duo, Pookie Knights, providing an hour of fizzing, pulsating doses of 'high impact' disco treatment which will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. The lads never let us down and have their own unique style of presenting their shows, which adds so much to the variety and diversity of what we do. 

On guest mix duties for this one is a very good friend of BLD, an über talented DJ and an all round kind, virtuous and decent soul, Neil Craven. 

Hailing from Liverpool (the birthplace of Black Light Disco events), Neil has been one of the most active DJs on the North West scene for a number of years and continues his monthly residency at 'Your Disco Needs You' at the Carlton Club in Manchester. Neil has promised us he will play at a future BLD event and we're gonna get that in writing from him! Although Neil has a diverse taste in music, which ranges from Progressive House to Soulful House and Techno, we think his true calling is in the world of disco and edits. 

So once again - get your dancin' pants on, turn the volume up and enjoy!

Cuillere is a House music producer and DJ known for his deep, funky, underground house sound. Fueled by a passion for disco, funk, and hip hop, Cuillere has been steadily gaining momentum in the music world for years. 
Starting out DJ’ing a number of raves in the early nineties, Cuillere held down club residencies across the United States. Cuillere joined forces with Jolby to create the crew “Jack Junkies” in 1999. They went on to add amazing talents such as DJ Jung, Sammie, Sprout, and Aizlynn. But like any DJ, Cuillere dreamt of producing house music, and before long he hooked up with Busy and Crux. Together they released their first single on DJ Sneak’s label ‘Oomph’. He followed that success with releases on Lingo and Photo Records as ‘Busy N Spoon’. The whole crew seemed to be on fire. 
Cuillere took his career to the next level as a solo artist with a series of high profile EPs for record labels such as Greenhouse, Treasered Grooves, Panhandle, Lingo, Viva, and more. Riding that momentum, Cuillere has many new projects in the works for 2019, including a radio show on www.sugarshackrecordings, and a new collaboration with Jonene as ‘Baggage Claim’.

Disco Lockdown

The Black Light Disco show airs exclusively on the #1 house music station on the planet - myhouseradio.fm. Tune in every Monday from 2pm-4pm EST, 7pm-4pm GMT, 8pm-10pm CET. 

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
