The Black Light Disco burns into the atmosphere that makes up the My House Radio airwaves, hitting you  like a cold, super-power jet wash to the armpit. 

It’s the third Monday of the month which means it’s the return of those psychedelic wormhole travellers Esteban and Cole Kutz! The boys have been busy clearing out the pool house here in our summer retreat of BLD Bungalows, ready to fill it in autumn with unused BLD branded sun beds and parasols. It’s a dirty job but someone’s got to do it…

First up is Esteban, who has a clutch of damn fine tunes from the likes of Mita Game Garden City Movement, Save the Robots  & Winkar Lopez, Kristof Tigran, Re-Tide and Adelphi Music Factory to name but a few. 

For hour 2, Cole Kutz takes the controls for a magic carpet ride of twists and turns, featuring musical delights from Sunner Soul, BOBBY ANALOG, Peanut Butter Orchestra, Random Soul, Hotmood, Cerrone  plus many more.

That’s Pajo Do to his mates A wee Derry whippet with a bag full of bangers and a cheeky grin big enough to light up the Bogside. outstanding in his field he is Known for his top-shelf hosting duties with the award winning Spin City radio show (always cracking guests and pals dropping in for the flights of fancy. He’s a regular round the Derry haunts with many years he knows the score and the scene shouts to the the Derry Collective Crew keeping him on his toes he got the right ideas for a session — and tonight, he’s bringing that same calibre of sound to us: 2 hours too pluck the Hairy Banjo Strings, and drop the kind of tunes that’ll have ye shakin’ hips and Swinging Yer Pants like nobody’s business. between gig and live sets is where the real magic sparks: digs with attitude, old energy blended with new, throwbacks that’ll school ye, and promos fresh out the box. Sometimes YouTube cuts him off mid-flow, but does he panic? Not a chance. "Sinner Man" or "Sinnerman" is a song written by Les Baxter and Will Holt, and often performed in the style of an African American traditional spiritual song. It has been recorded by a number of performers and has been incorporated in many other media and arts. The lyrics describe a sinner attempting to hide from divine justice on Judgment Day. It was recorded in the 1950s by Les Baxter, the Swan Silvertones, the Weavers and others, before Nina Simone recorded an extended version in 1965.

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
