Black Light Disco returned to the MyHouse Radio airwaves in style on Monday 16th November with an all-residents double header from our deadly duo Goz and Esteban. 

Goz gets proceedings underway with a spectacularly funky, chunky 'double-dip' of the disco hummus at the BLD dance floor buffet, kicking things off with an outrageously good rework of a familiar KT Tunstall track. 

Next up, Esteban serves up an hour long boogie blancmange that switches between old and new tracks and shifts the setting from disco to Latino and back again. The folk coming to party (virtually) with us here at BLD Towers loved the vibe and the chat box was on fire.

@srichards1975 is the DJ behind the hugely popular Disco Daze Radio Show which airs weekly and features regular guest appearances by the cream of the Disco World. He is also a very talented producer in his own right with his latest track releasing on the brilliant @tropicaldiscorecords on the 1st of January 2021. We love it and premiered the track last week. Black Light Disco returns with the flux capacitor on full tilt and the time circuits super-charged. 

Hosting the show is BLD resident Ste Hendry (Esteban), who was tasked with firing up the Disco Reactor and Centrifugal Funk Chamber for the first hour of the show. For the second hour, we had a very special guest joining us for his debut on the show -  the supremely talented Faz. 

Faz, aka Steve Farrell got the love of house music in the mid 1990s and could be regularly heard playing in venues around Chorley and Blackburn in the North of England. As part of the ‘Edits Presents’ team, Faz has played alongside legendary names such as Dave Lee, Spen, Derek Kaye and K Klass. 

Faz's sets are all about Disco, ReEdits, Energy and fun, and it's no surprise he's landed regular spots in the bars and clubs in Manchester, Leeds and Halifax. More recently, he has dipped his toe into production and featured in Masterworks Vol 4 last year as one part of 'F'Funkin Edits' and is looking forward to releasing more tracks in the very near future. This episode starts off slow and bubbly, because I was in a slow and bubbly kinda mood that day. We actually start off with something new from me - a track called So Precious that will be out on Discoholics Anonymous soon - I'm very excited!

Me being me things don't stay slow and bubbly for long, and I eventually pick up the pace to smash out a few disco edits and such like towards the end. We've got new bits from Moonroy and my good pals The Magic Track, and assorted less new bits from various artists. 

In hour 2 I bring you a guest mix from Steve Gladdis, AKA Smashed Atoms. I'm proper excited to get Steve in for a guest mix at last - I've been a big fan ever since I heard Cut This Way a few years back, and his productions and DJ mixes are consistently superb. He's definitely not disappointed with this mix - it's a perfectly put together selection of mid tempo groovers, filled to the brim with funky basslines, beautiful vocals and sexy synths that perfectly brings out that Smashed Atoms sound - I love it.

Fingerman On Street Sounds Radio Episode 1 (Part 2)

The Black Light Disco show airs exclusively on the #1 house music station on the planet - myhouseradio.fm. Tune in every Monday from 2pm-4pm EST, 7pm-4pm GMT, 8pm-10pm CET. 

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
