craxy for Esteban... ohhhhh Ibiza t my body fly 

Black Light Disco galloped back onto the myhouseradio.fm airwaves with another fun packed music extravaganza from the very top shelf of the disco rack.

Taking control of the decks for the first hour is our resident Esteban (aka Ste Hendry), who will be acting as the appetiser for the special guest arriving by Limousine at the secret underground door BLD Towers. 

And just who is this special guest? Well, it’s not often that we get to break out the good china cups and saucers, but for this occasion we felt we should. Because taking us though the second hour is a bona-fide legend of the scene, the one and only Fingerman! 

Fingerman, aka Gregg Holmes has been (and continues to be) one of THE most influential figures of the UK edits and disco scene. Gregg discovered the disco bug around the time he and his DJ partner were playing the Casablanca Club in his hometown of Brighton and, like a lot of us, a certain Greg Wilson quickly caught his attention. Greg Wilson was a massive early supporter of Gregg’s productions and Fingerman Edits soon became a staple of DJ sets around the globe. 

Over the last decade Gregg has built his record label, Hot Digits Music into a juggernaut, with each annual compilation release more eagerly awaited than the last (this year, Hot Digits 7 flew into the No.1 spot on Juno in what felt like minutes after its release).  

Added to his phenomenal production talents, his passion for the music and ability to uncover new artists and producers out of thin air, he’s also one of the best DJs in the business - a simple mantra of “keep it funky” translates into fluid, world building sets and that’s what you’re gonna be treated to with this guest mix. We’re extremely honoured and delighted to host Gregg for his BLD debut, and we know this is gonna grab your underwear, turn it inside out and put it over your head before you even know what’s happening.

The Black Light Disco show airs exclusively on the #1 house music station on the planet - myhouseradio.fm. Tune in every Monday from 2pm-4pm EST, 7pm-4pm GMT, 8pm-10pm CET. 

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
