Even Funkier @ Glide Battersea Power Station 19th November 2022

The Black Light Disco Shows sprinkles the fairy dust all over themyhouseradio.fm airwaves a little later on with a very special takeover show to rev your Monday up.  

This week, we welcome Newcastle lads RJ into the bright lights of BLD Towers; giving them the VIP treatment (including hot towels) and the freedom of the 7th floor Sonic Research Lab.

RJ are North East of England duo Richard Harle and Chris Bremner. Their partnership has spanned the last two decades, during which time they have amassed a huge following in the UK as well as Europe. RJ have put on some spectacular nights in the legendary Hoochie Coochies in their home town and played alongside some of the biggest names out there - including such luminaries as Dave Lee, The Reflex, Natasha Kitty Kat, Copyright, Sandy Rivera and Harry Romero to name drop but a few. 

Their love of original disco, soul and smokey, funky grooves oozes out of their sets, and we’re absolutely thrilled to hand the entire show over to them to give you a taste of what they’re all about.

BLD 21st Nov 2022 - RJ Takeover

The Black Light Disco Show returned to the myhouseradio.fm airwaves with another all residents affair to boot the Monday blues in the sweet breads and rattle the underpants of melancholy.   

BLD stalwarts Esteban and Goz were called up to christen the newly built Audio Biosphere here at the top of BLD Towers. First up is Esteban, who was pitching some mid-tempo vibes to start off proceedings with tracks from Ron Basejam, Fingerman, Lux Experience, Da Lukas and Birdee to name but 5. All building up nicely for the second hour where Goz pulled the handbrake and let loose with an array of up-tempo weapons from Delfonic, Charlie Soul Clap, Kristoff MX, Chewy Rubs and James Curd.

*CLINT H BIO*
Clint fell in love with the DJ/nightlife scene when he first visited the famous white isle (Ibiza) As soon as he got back he decided to buy a pair of Technics 1210's and spent the following years building up a collection of music and knowledge of various genres. 

Clint has played in a number of venues in London in his surrounding areas and is currently a resident with the Alchemist bar chain. He is also currently playing at the world famous Sushi Samba, Heron Tower in Bishopsgate where he has spent the last year as resident for one of the disco scenes most influential people Moodena, and his monthly Moodena Presents events.

He has been lucky to share the DJ booth with some of the scenes big hitters such as Moodena, CJ Mackintosh, Dave Lee, Young Pulse, Birdee, Javi Frias, The Shapeshifters and the late, great Mighty Mouse.

Clint's musical style is based on a blend of Disco, Nu Disco, Soul Funk Disco and Soulful House.

Clint also has his weekly Beats @ Brunch radio show on one of London's leading dance music stations Shine 879.

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
