The Black Light Disco Show was back on the myhouseradio.fm airwaves on Monday 9th January 2022 following a short break for the holiday season. 

This week, BLD Residents Pookie Knights bring in the new year by spinning their favourite tunes of 2022. The Black Light Disco Show roared back onto the myhouseradio.fm airwaves last Monday with another hands on massage of your ears and tympanic membranes.  

Esteban & Goz were opening up the exclusively exclusive rooftop cocktail bar here in BLD Towers in anticipation of the warmer days and nights to come. 

First up is Esteban, who will take you through the first hour like a day-drinking tour guide - using the opportunity to showcase four tracks from the superb Super Spicy Vol. 5 vinyl release on Super Spicy Records, along with new music from the likes of Musta, Risk Assessment and Dirty Disco Stars. 

For the second hour, Goz will be flipping the cocktail shakers and outrageously ostentatious glasses with a pitch perfect mix of slammers from the likes of Kornum, Corrado Allunni, Monsieur Van Pratt, Lego Edit and Louie Vega to name but 5!

What a special treat this show was! First up on hosting duties we had an original Disco Walton, Ken Avalon of Discoholics Anonymous @discoanon. Ken is a well respected DJ/producer and  radio host from Denmark. He has a huge following and his successful long running show, Hot to the Touch, on Prime Radio helped inspire the some fellow DWs to start their own shows. Ken has impeccable taste combining old & new and every mix is a journey & educational.

Our very special guest this week is Markus Lindner, a.k.a. Delfonic. We're all massive fans of Delfonic and we're super excited to have him join us on our show. Based in Berlin, Delfonic runs Illegal Jazz Records alongside Toy Tonics honcho, Kapote  as well as A&R/ Label Manager at wordandsound/whatpeopleplay.

With a history in digging and an unquestionable love for music, Delfonic, is as versatile and informed a DJ as they come. Delfonic applies his broad knowledge of music styles to almost any setting, and is renowned for blending multiple genres, eras and disciplines throughout his sets. His set for us is pure class, you'll love it!

The Black Light Disco show airs exclusively on the #1 house music station on the planet - myhouseradio.fm. Tune in every Monday from 2pm-4pm EST, 7pm-4pm GMT, 8pm-10pm CET. 

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
