The Black Light Disco show launched itself into the myhouseradio.fm stratosphere one more with another classic to get your feet tappin’ and your fingers a-poppin. 

Taking control of the decks in the 'sonic sensory room' deep within BLD Towers is our resident Esteban (aka Ste Hendry), who was spinning tunes form the likes of Pete Maxey & Art of Tones, Lup Ino, Reverendos of Soul, Phonk D, Vaudafunk and D.C La Rue to name but a few. 

For the second hour, we have one of the hottest names on the scene right now on guest mix duties, someone who we’ve really been looking forward to inviting on -  Rafael Yapudjian!

Rafael Yapudjian is considered one of the great names in the Brazilian House/Disco scene and has a consistent and unique musical repertoire that brings together tracks from Soulful to Nu Disco, which incorporate sound roots from Funk and Jazz and resulting in a quite intoxicating blend for the dance floor.

A veteran of over 20 years of career, he had his first DJ residency in the former São Paulo club, Cheers, and as a result, came into the night through the booths of Vinyl and Museum, also including residency at the illustrious Pacha São Paulo, where he did many warm ups for names ranging from Louie Vega to FatBoy Slim. This opportunity opened doors for him to explore the four corners of Brazil and the world, stamping passports in Germany, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Portugal, Switzerland and Italy, to name a few.

He played at the traditional Creamfields Brasil and other major festivals, and has also won awards for 'best Deep and Soulful House DJ' by DJ Sound (2011)and 'Top 50 DJs' by House Mag and Best New DJ by VIP magazine in 2015.

Rafael is also the name behind A Casa Records and the Music Branding company D’Sound Solutions, which currently complies over 200 clients throughout Brazil. In short, he is the complete artist - always open to new sounds and constantly reinventing himself around his true passion: music.

This week's special guest is Ladies On Mars aka Jonathan Douglas Braverman, is a DJ and Producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am a huge fan of his work, and he has released a massibe number of quality disco tracks on major labels sich as Midnight Riot, Tropical Velvet, Masterworks Music, Salted music and Tropcial Disco, to name but a few

As a DJ, he’s played prestigious venues in England, Germany, Mexico and Peru, as well as gigs across his own country of Argentina, and has played alongside big names such as Purple Disco Machine, Michael Gray, Yam Who? and Fingerman, 


Right now, his husic is supported by great artists such as: Late Nite Tuff Guy, Horse Meat Disco, Mark Lower, John Morales, Claptone, Mat. Joe, Mighty Mouse, Michael Gray, Babert, Yam Who?, Kort, Moodena, Mark Doyley (Hed Kandi), 80’s Child, Discotron, Ruff Diamond, and many more!. 

In 2019 him 4 track EP “Boogie On Time” released by Midnight Riot in February hits all charts on Junodownload, Traxsource and Beatport climbing the Nu-Disco charts of Traxsource at #5 of Nu Disco and reached the Top 100 for over a month. Receiving support by artists like John Morales, Yam Who?, Mark Lower, Discotron, Barry&Gibbs, Joy Chicago, Modesto, Kort, jack tennis, Brothers In Arts and many more. His new tracks “Hold On” released by Tropical Velvet and “Somebody To Love” by Mark Lower’s label Sakura Music reached the top20 House & Nu Disco Charts at Traxsource having the support of artists like: Late Nite Tuff Guy, Horse Meat Disco, The Shapeshifters, Babert, Mark Lower, Kort, Peter Brown, PKD, Mighty Mouse and many more. 

Jonathan’s passion and excitement for music are what makes him so incredibly special. He is truly dedicated to his work. His main goal in life is to make music that excites people around the globe. His sets are packed full of incredible tracks and his mixing is spot on. Behind the decks, Jonathan connects with his crowd which takes it to another level of epic proportions on the dance floor. Episode 85: Feel Good Friday Radio Show (guest Ladies On Mars)

The Black Light Disco show weaved its way across the myhouseradio.fm international airwaves on Monday 7th March 2022, bringing sonic joy to needy ears and stamping on those Monday blues. 

Our Wrexham based residents Pookie Knights took control of the first hour -  andit’s a real retro perspective with tracks from the likes of The Brand New Heavies, Sandy B, Mylo Vs Miami Sound Machine and Peter Maxey (with some wicked remix action in there for good measure)

For the second hour, the Pookie Knights boys welcome their special guest making his debut on BLD - T-Sounds! 

T Sounds - who originally hails from the south of London but now resides in Liverpool -  has brought his groovy house sound to parties all over the north west and London, with a guarantee to get you moving. Over the last couple of years, he has released his own music with the likes of Basementdiscos, Miura, Houseum, Mango Sounds, Rare Wiri and many more. With the likes of Michael Gray, Doorly and Stonebridge supporting his music and a number of top 10 chart releases in the last year including a number 1 EP, 2022 is looking to be a big year for T with multiple singles and EP’s signed and ready to release including shows around the North West and London.

The Black Light Disco show airs exclusively on the #1 house music station on the planet - myhouseradio.fm. Tune in every Monday from 2pm-4pm EST, 7pm-4pm GMT, 8pm-10pm CET. 

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
