Samosa Funk beamed onto Black Light Disco's Space Station on Monday 9th November 2020, jamming the MyHouse Radio airwaves with a cosmic blast of funk, disco, afro, boogie, soul and everything in between. 

Regular listeners will know that when these two forces of nature get together for their monthly BLD takeover, it can mean only one thing; two hours of total Samosa Funk domination. Black Light Disco returned to the MyHouse Radio airwaves in style on Monday 16th November with an all-residents double header from our deadly duo Goz and Esteban. 

Goz gets proceedings underway with a spectacularly funky, chunky 'double-dip' of the disco hummus at the BLD dance floor buffet, kicking things off with an outrageously good rework of a familiar KT Tunstall track. 

Next up, Esteban serves up an hour long boogie blancmange that switches between old and new tracks and shifts the setting from disco to Latino and back again. The folk coming to party (virtually) with us here at BLD Towers loved the vibe and the chat box was on fire.

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
