Samosa Funk was back on the myhouseradio.fm airwaves with the incomparable Les Inferno and De Gama once again opening up the school doors for another education in music! 

Taking the class for the first period is Professor Les Inferno, who has a genuine smorgasbord of classics from the likes of Joe Thomas, Pattie LaBelle, Miles Davis, Change and Babe Ruth to name but a few. The selection, the execution - all conducted with supreme skill and confidence! It's another masters degree in musicology! 

For the second hour, De Gama raises the temperature with another sizzling set packed to the corners with quality music from Dominic Balchin, Jazzanova, Cafe 432, DirtyTwo, Lup Ino plus many more. De Gama's sets always burst with diversity and this set will absolutely blow your collective socks off! 

For us here in BLD Towers, this continues to be the highlight of the month. It should be yours, too!

Samosa Funk was all over the myhouseradio.fm airwaves last week with yet another treat for your audio canals. 

As ever, the boys have put together a stunning two hour show which, in our humble opinion set a new bar yet again in terms of quality and execution. 

Les Inferno is up first with a sackful of eclectic rarities, delectable grooves and forgotten gems. We don't have a full track list for this one, unfortunately but have done our best to ID most! 

De Gama then picks up the pace for the second hour with huge tracks from the likes of The Funk District, Bosq, Sweet Daddy Floyd and Paul Older to name just a few. A big welcome to Ep 44 of That Disco Groove Radio Show.

This week we make a welcome return to our guest-mix schedule as we play host to Peter Goodwin, resident DJ for one of most exciting, underground parties on the scene right now, DiscoDisco London.

Fresh from his recent set at the legendary Pikes, Ibiza and on the back of multiple sets at the likes of Elrow Festival and London's Fabric, Peter took the time to record his set with the DiscoDisco gang in attendence around the pool in Ibiza and he's certainly delivered with an hour packed full of chunky disco edits, classic reworks and disco house.

Black Light Disco returns to the Myhouseradio.fm airwaves with a lip-smackingly tantalising show to treat your ear lugs to.

This week, we were opening up the new Sonic Utilities and Acquisitions Room here in BLD Towers, where our resident Goz set up to host this week’s show. Goz has accessed his mind palace full of uptempo diddles which will get your feet tapping and your shoulders shimmying. 

For the second hour, we have a superb set from our very special guests this week, NFC & Key Sokur! 

NFC & Key Sokur is the combination of producers/DJs Nelson Cuberli (NFC) and Leandro Sokur (Key Sokur). This duo, based in Playa del Carmen, Mexico are strongly influenced by Funk, Disco, Soul & Afro music. Their live sets are usually filled with their own productions -  fusing musical instruments with bass and arrangements originating in House music. They’ve seen releases on some of the most influential labels ranging from About Disco Records, Furious Mandrill, Deep Sense, Editorial Records, Tropical Disco, Rare Wiri, Moiss Music and Hive Label to name but a few.

This week, we have the one and only Cole Kutz on hosting duties for the first hour of the show. Yes, in a show of commitment, we’ve bestowed Cole with the spare keys to BLD Towers and given him his own sock and underwear drawer in the 50th floor Panoramic Bedroom Suite. Cole will be earning his BLD motif smoking jacket with a set packed with oomph and oooft!  

Joining Cole as our special guest this week is a man who has been around the block a few times (and knocked on every door) - Wilson Frisk! Mr Frisk (aka Craig) is the sole proprietor of the excellent ‘Housebound’ radio show’ airing on Peoples City Radio (PCR). Hailing from Bradford, Yorkshire in the north of England, Wilson started his journey collecting music as a young buck and over the years has carved out quite the CV. Boasting residencies in Bradford, Leeds and Huddersfield in the mid-1990s, he has progressed into music production as one half of ‘The Krate Diggaz’. He is renowned for his smooth mixing style encompassing all genres of House music but always keeping it soulful and funky.

Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
