Mexican based label BLDSMX returns with their second compilation 'Armada Sounds 002,' boasting a variety of hybrid bass music from international producers. Today we premiere the high energy rave banger "Hands Up" by Hong Kong producer Kray. With previous releases on akin labels like China's Unchained Asia and U.S based SHOOT recordings, the young producer is expanding their sound with each release. The full compilation drops October 2nd, and includes a stacked line up of FWJ faves like Groves, Sideswipe, Greazus, Golden, HNGVR, Danky, Mars Kasei, Raptorhandz, Digid, and many more...

Champion Sound are Nikita Mironov, Igor Nesvetaev, Serge Kiselev, a sound system ensemble from Russia. The Sound of Champions is a reggae & dub, dancehall & jungle heritage reimagined in modern bass forms.

ARMADA SOUNDS is the given name to a series of compilations presented by the booking agency and record label BLDSMX. This series was founded in early 2020, with the purpose of interacting with artists who are within the international underground music scene, which are joined by a deep and universal web of soundscapes and connections. 

This project is a product generated through effort and dedication to the bass music scene, and the avant-garde electronic sounds in the constantly evolving and hybridizing rhythms of 140-170 BPMs such as Juke/Footwork, Dubstep, D&B, Jungle, Halftime, and more.
This project was born from the thirst of creators, DJs and producers Alan Flores “Vinil Motion”, Pil “Deeplinkin”, and most recent addition to the crew Felipe Jardel “Aiokai’’, with the devotion and passion for low frequencies, repetitive drums, half times and the energetic rhythms mentioned. This great collaboration within the BLDSMX team has, as a purpose, connecting with the inmost parts of listeners and producers alike, to make this deep and universal web as tangible as possible.

For our 130th mix in the series, label co-founder Heisty returns for his first solo mix on the label since episode #7. Here to take us on a trip through some of the freshest tunes across some of our favorite high energy ravey flavors. Expect some acid arps, broken beats, the occasional piano line, spicy grime flips and a few curveballs. 

"It feels great to start off the year with a fresh mix to show folks what I've been digging lately. This is a bit of a long mix within a more defined sonic palette. I love to mix across the spectrum but this recording feels simultaneously more controlled and more explorative. This mix cover 44 tracks of some of the sounds that have captivated me heavily over the last few months (and years). The high energy dancefloor vibes have really gotten me moving no matter how I'm feeling. Lots of fresh ideas incorporating and combining elements across Acid, UKG, Grime, Dubstep, Breaks, Jungle, Footwork, Club, Juke, Hardcore, Jungle, and DnB. 

I also want to acknowledge that this is in no way a perfect mix. These days, I find more appreciation from the imperfections in a set and how someone recovers than I do a perfectly polished set. Feels more human, you know? Anyways, thanks for listening! I hope you enjoy the trip as much as I did. "
