LPG opened by A-142-4, A-137-1 modulated by A-143-9 running at audio rate via A-132-3. A-149-1 + A-149-2 creating some randomness. A-156 taming the randomness.

Eurorack Mutable Grids Sputnik LPG Percussion

I was going for a Buchla Easel-esque feel with this. It came out a bit repetitive and irritating at certain moments but I've learnt a few things along the way.
This is a 100% modular A-100 performance, recorded live, no multitracking.
All sequencing by A-160-2, A-160, A-166 > A-138m > A-151 > A-156. Transposed via external CV keyboard.
Sound: Richter Oscillator II Sine out back into PM in via an A-132-3 (the wavefolding bit) into A-101-2 LPG. Envelopes provided by A-142-4
Reverb: Mr Black Eternal Gold Modified back into A-119 > A-116 > A-103.
Mixed on a good old Mackie CR1604 mixer.

Unintentionally this sequence sounds Boards of Canada / Alessandro Cortini like, but I guess this is down to the methods used to build the melody. 4 note sequence transposed up and down in real time.

Easelesque Doepfer A-100 Sequence

Exactly as my previous Easelesque patch only using 100% Doepfer modules this time. The audio source is A-110-4 > A-132-3 > A-137-1.
Unintentionally this sequence sounds Boards of Canada / Alessandro Cortini like, but I guess this is down to the methods used to build the melody. 4 note sequence transposed up and down in real time with little quirks here and there. This is a demo and not a 'track'.

Doepfer A-100 Analog Physical Modelling

What do you hear? It's ugly. Something's not right. What are they doing to her? Is that HER? Or is that IT?

That's a weird sound and I don't even have a proper way of describing it. Sound of distress, sort of human, sort of insane, it certainly bears some hidden primeval message.

No oscillators used, this is pure feedback loop made with a Doepfer A-138m Matrix Mixer + A-137-2 + A-103 + A-180-2.

Not quite west coast, not quite east cost. It's not a Buchla, it's not a Korg, it's not a Doepfer, it's not a Moog. I suppose it's mostly Wiard.

Sound source: Richter Anti-Oscillator Mayhem OUT > Richter Oscillator II Sync IN. Anti Tri OUT > A-132-3 > Oscillator II PM IN. The sequencer is only feeding 1V/Oct of the Anti. Some very gentle filtering provided by Doepfer A-142-4 > Borg 1.

Malekko Richter Dirty Riff - Anti-Oscillator Mayhem > Oscillator II Sync (Demo)

A-143-4 provides the clock and three triangle oscillators. Fed into 3 x A-101-2 LPGs. Clock goes into A-160-2, A-160-1, A-149-2, A-162 triggering all four envelopes on an A-142-4. Around 1 minute I start adjusting the Common Frequency on A-143-4. Some interesting relationships emerge as all voices + tempo are tied to the same base frequency. EHX Cathedral provides the reverb.

Doepfer A-152 Dig Outs feeding A-138m Matrix Mixer. Outputs A-D going into a Sequential Switch (A-151). Transposed live from a single A-164-1 Manual Gate selecting between three predefined voltages via an A-150 switch.

"Sequencing Without Sequencers" is my research into composing on a Doepfer A-100 analog modular eurorack system without using any actual sequencers.

Here's an attempt using a very simple chain:

A-152 Dig Out 2,3 & 5 > A-138m Matrix Mixer Inputs 1, 2 & 4. Resets on step 6 (5 step sequence)

This exploration features two cross-modulated Doepfer A-110-4 quadrature thru zero VCOs as well as a Doepfer A-111-2 High End VCO.

Behringer TD-3 303 Melodic Sequence

BLEACH CULT is the musical nom de plume of Vytis Puronas, singer-songwriter and film sound designer, formerly one half of lo-fi synthpop outfit Soy Farm. His music is very textural and direct, with a genre-bending approach that explores post-punk aesthetics, minimal wave soundscapes and intriguing hooks with a pleasantly retro vibe.

BLEACH CULT is all about raw imperfections and beautiful spontaneity, captured live on analog modular synthesizers, often relying on single takes and instinctive executions of tracks that leave little to no room for extensive tweaking and post-processing. Quite interestingly, Bleach Cult’s music is hard to categorize under the umbrella of a single genre. Instead, Puronas creates a distinct noirish tone, which borrows from influences as diverse as post-punk, minimal wave, techno and even pre-war blues and 60s rockabilly, just to mention a few.
