With this mix I wanted to evoke a bizarre or paranormal environment. I’ve been toying with the concept of soundscapes as a form of escapism & world-building, and wanted to explore that here. These 54 minutes take us on a journey through uncanny melodies and energetic bass lines, assembling alternative narratives in a parallel timeline.

Angelia Word is an interdisciplinary artist and DJ. Her artistry is heavily influenced by the rawness of lo-fi house and a propensity for the sinister. Speed is her weakness, with many mixes traveling across high BPMs and incorporating elements of nostalgia and goofiness. Her mixes are often inspired by her frustration at the systems that crush us, and her desperation for a better collective future. She is co-founder of the collective and label FemmeDecks.

andrea_andrea is a multi instrumentalist with much to share. Cutting her teeth with Downtempo and hazy Ambient, she’s since been making her mark on the dance floor with recent releases spanning styles of Footwork, Jersey Club, and Jungle. 

Her new album, set to be released this summer of 2023, is a return to form in some directions. Harking back to the Downtempo production style, but with a twist of deconstructed Club, Breakbeats, Dubstep, and Trip Hop.
