For those of you who couldn't make our recent fundraising concert for the Exeter Paediatric Oncology Fund, the highlight was Isaac performing on his ukulele. As he told me afterwards, he loves being a musician, because even though it was a bit embarrassing he liked all the girls coming up close when he was playing. Anyway, we recorded a performance tonight just for you, and if you are in any doubt as to who's in charge here, make sure you listen right to the end. Isaac calls this his Japanese Ninja tune. 

For those of you who don't know, Isaac has been receiving intensive treatment for the past couple of years from the Paediatric Oncology unit at our local hospital here in Devon, UK. The staff are superb, the care is exemplary, and we have organised a number of fundraising events for the unit over the last while. This latest concert raised in excess of £3000.  This is the piece that granted me access to the composition studies at The Norwegian Music Academy 

The French Horn has water in its tubing, and the percussionist is blowing bubbles with a straw in a bowl of water and at the end of piece the bubble-blower is pouring the water from the bowl into a steel bucket. All of this written in the score.

This is a recording from a concert performance at The Norwegian Music Academy . My first performance of a piece in public .. :-)

Bleep Blop was established by composer PoChun Wang, Ramon Castillo and pianist Pei-Yeh Tsai in 2010.  Bleep Blop is an ensemble dedicated to the merging of acoustic performers with live electronics. The ensemble dedicated to an overhaul of the concert experience and aim to provide an interactive environment for audiences.

Bleep Blop collaborates with sound designers, artists and composers to develop new music and arts. In addition, the purpose of Bleep Blop is to encourage and help young composers become familiar with new musical media. Bleep Blop has worked regularly with Nonduo (Improvisation/Image Group) and many local musicians and artists in the Boston area.
