Aufki & Doc Savage - Black Rabbit 2021

Takashi Yasumi aka Kagami was definitely one of the kings of TeSco (Techno Disco) made in Japan. He started in the mid-90s and became one of the most important artists of Frogman Records. Europe discovered him for the first time in 1999 when Thomas Schumacher released "Beat Bang Black" on his Spiel-Zeug Schallplatten, but the celebrity moment was in 2002 when many European DJs played "Perfect Storm", one of the tracks composed one year before for the infamous WIRE festival. "Tokyo Disco Music All Night", "Romantic Time Slip", "Tiger Track", the amazing "Mirror Ball Future Funk" are examples how Kagami has mixed in an intriguingly flow the energy of techno, the melodies from disco and the slap notes of funk.

Unfortunately, Kagami passed away in 2010. This set is a collection of some of his music along with the Tokyo Disco Music sound he pioneered, as emulated by other greats in the Japanese techno scene.

Where the Doc Savage DJ mixes go. Doc has been DJing since 2001 and has evolved over the years from playing trance and tech to whatever bleepity bloop pleases his soul. Currently Doc is primarily DJing as a duo with Aufki, sharing strange and wonderful sounds from off the beaten path. 

His rave company Synergy was active from 2000 - 2013 and was best known for the Two Tribes event at Camp Fortune and Hard As Fuck parties in Montreal with Lenny Dee and DJ Promo. Synergy was all about working together with others to make the scene stronger.

This is also the home of selected Bleepity Bloop podcast episodes made by Doc featuring chillwave, futurebeat, glitch, and artist spotlight sets.
