Following the creation of their own ‘BlindingHQ’ imprint, Blinding start 2017 with their first single 'Breathe Out'. Premiering on January the 9th through UKF, it was recorded in late 2016 in North London. This darker than usual Garage record is evocative and moving. The singing is provided by the bands own vocalist, which can be best described as edgy and unusual.  “Breathe out that same exchange again, I can’t complain, I just get so bored .”

‘BlindingHQ’ follow hot on the release of their 2017 debut ‘Breathe Out’, with their second Single: Lean. Topped with Blindings signature vocals the record is the unmistakable sound of dark soul fused with future bass. The influence of Jungle, Trap and R&B find themselves in a track that is unmistakable as being born anywhere in the world other than London. “you can help me hold my temper and lean yourself against myself and cure the world of my attention’.

‘The End Of The Earth’ is the third studio track from London act Blinding. The lo-fidelity backdrop of subs, field recordings and piano sets the scene for the haunting soul vocals of frontman Tom Sutcliffe. Ripped out of the Massive Attack and Portishead template and reinterprited, Blinding have a beautiful and unique sonic.  “I would die for this, I would do it with ease .”

‘I was sat along the old parade, sinking ’16 Shots’ will fuck me up’, is the soul driven and saturated vocal that opens up Blindings fourth release for 2017! Pulling no punches, this UK Garage track drills straight to the heart of the London sound that they are becoming synonymous with. While it is possible to hear influences from the underground where they have been bought up. 16 Shots is a record that rises above the saturated noise of the current dance scene.

The record is a pastiche of sound design, analogue synthesis and resampled vocals, provided again by the band. For their 6th release this year new UKG band Blinding bring 'The Island'. Touching on the grass routes of the UK bass scene this record is one for all bass music lovers.

Blinding have relentlessly pushed through 2017 with a release every two weeks. This one is a little different from the underground garage track they have pursued. ‘Wherever You Go’ is a downtempo and dark hip hop track that features a more spoken word approach on a bed of Maxine Quay era Trickiness. ’Cut your neck, steal your breath, mourn the death, I suppose it does not matter if you’re dead’ are the words being delivered in monotone and agonising believablity. Blinding are proud to present ‘Wherever You Go’.

It takes nearly two minutes of building and suspense to be delivered with the opening line of Blindings latest offering ‘Burn You Down’. The song wraps up shortly afterwards having taken the listener through the sludge of small town life, minimum wage jobs, loss of hope and dreams of escape.

DR P is where the traditional art of singer songwriter meets the dark side of UK Garage. A beautiful backdrop of soulful licks wrap around metaphor and simile, peaking with the signature swung drums that Blinding have become synonymous with. Coming via ‘Blinding HQ’ this tune marks the 7th release of 2017, showing that these guys are not slowing down but just getting started.

Blinding started 2017 by releasing their first ever song ‘Breathe Out’. They have released a new song every two weeks through the first six months of the year culminating in ‘Steal The Gold’ They say that you should always save the best for last and they have surely surpassed themselves with this release.

Finishing as they started with an anthemic piece of UK Garage, seeped with soul vocals, moving filters and filtered bass lines. ‘Let them burn the rest while we steal the gold’.

After a dozen releases already under their belts in the first half of 2017, Blinding show no signs of slowing down. In fact they are only just starting to gather momentum. With nearly half a million streams since their debut track ‘Breathe Out’ landed in the January of this year the outfit have compiled their A Sides onto one EP “Emphasis’. ‘Emphasis’ brings you crisp beats, soul vocals and the distinct sound of London.
