The next “Circulating Waves” chapter is opened by an artist that we deeply admire for her true musical poetry: Polygonia.

Before getting involved with electronic music, the munich-based artist was trained in several acoustic instruments, as well as other artforms. It were the endless possibilities of modern producing, that inspired her to translate her long developed understanding of rhythm, composition and experimentalism into the digital music language. 
Over the years she shaped her own distinct sound identity, which is nothing short of unique in its blend of mystical and deep electronic vibes with more organic sounds, often enriched by acoustic components. Her creations which can vary from ambient over downtempo to hypnotic techno are released on Lowless, Alexandar, Kvltö, Phono Tropismi, her own label IO and with us as Charybdis.

This mix clearly reflects her huge understanding of music and her eclectic approach: It playful oscillates between dreamy realms with haunting melodies and versatile rhythms and more heavy, dancefloor oriented parts, never losing its unerringly hypnotic drive and focus, which will introduce you to new outskirts of the vortex!

Her preceding intensive and long practice playing several instruments as well as the experiences with other art forms, inspired the artist to translate her understanding of rhythm, composition and experimentalism into the digital musical language. She creates mystic, deep and experimental soundscapes with acoustic elements in it. Together with @Dycide and @MTRL_audio she founded the Ambient and Deep Techno Label @IOrecs

We adore the depth, versatility and originality that comes from the very core of Polygonia - a project which is the culmination of years of Lindsey’s musical experience, including her dedication to learning multiple acoustic instruments (violin, guitar, piano, sax), as well as her intrigue for and exploration of multiple genres and sub genres.

As one of the founders of the audiovisual platform, IO (together with Dycide and MTRL) - "a space for endless possibilities" - Lindsey is a musician and artist who truly embraces and celebrates the beauty of diversity and the ability to draw on the various musical influences we become immersed in over time to create a very personal, and very unique, creative output, encompassing so much that’s come before it.

The outputs of Polygonia are solidly grounded in deep and ambient; Lindsey can work some serious rhythmic magic and is never afraid to push boundaries which for us, makes her a stand-out artist with a magnetic musical personality.

As for her journey for On the 5th Day, all we’ll say is be ready for an array of stunning twists and turns, and mesmerising originality, magnifying the very essence of the Polygonia we’ve grown to love.

Eighty-eighth guest of KHIDI's podcast series is machìna - Tokyo based Korean producer, DJ, live artist and a regular performer at MUTEK in Japan, expanding her sound in the world of Multi-media experimental art.

machìna has also featured prominently in the fashion industry, including a live performance at the PRADA Miyashita Park opening in Shibuya, as well as being chosen as part of the NIKE x ACRONYM global campaign and as an ambassador for the MMW x NIKE new collection.

This time, @tsunimanmusic invites @hanndmusic and @fr0nd for a two-hour masterclass.

London-based artist Hannd has immersed himself in music since youth, exploring various genres. He started making music at 16, eventually focusing on house and techno. His debut release ‘Hannd’ (Raw Paper Records, 2017) marked a turning point, leading to multiple releases on different labels. Hannd also founded 'Comma Traxx,' a label encouraging artists to explore their creativity without limitations. Currently, he's involved in 'Down To Earth,' an events project in Bristol and London, aiming to push boundaries in underground music.

Pollination co-founder and Down To Earth resident, FROND has no issue moving from psychedelic chuggers through to transcendental stompers in a matter of minutes. Building deep sonic worlds that are heavily influenced by early trance and techno, her sets are a colourful weave of nostalgic moments nestled alongside more contemporary left-field sounds.
