Spock's Logical Computer Warpdrive Mix

In this Track I was experimenting with chopping my voice into pieces and then randomly placing it anywhere along the track, I wanted my vocals to make sense even though its chopped arranged vocal track, i was inspired by mathematics and its random number placement. The beats are amazing, much of the sounds is my voice modified and fused to fit the beat in succession and play along the track as an instrument. I hope you enjoy. by Xolo.

The Gods


It has taken me 2 years to finish this composition, I had to arrange the entire orchestra assemble with a synthesizer(Novation Ultra Nova) and a computer(Mac, logic Pro, Acoustic Drive) to capture a raw sound and editing of a symphony since I have no actual acoustic instruments, it became a nightmare but I had to finish it, the editing was a complete and utter disaster. At times I became angry at arranging and relentlessly make changes in the structure and then actually playing it and layering the instrument sections can be a really hair ripping experience so they can all match in harmony and tempo, in that experience I  ended up with something strong and violent, jolting and inspiring yet gentle at times, so I present to you a small piece of this composition of “ROWS OF PHOTODROMY”.  Violas on F, Violins on B, Basses on B, Grato Basses on D, Cellos on D Major, Grato Violins on F, Tuba Tempo on B, Trombones on F major, Violas on A flat. Oboe on A ...I hope you enjoy. Xolo.

Rows Of Photodromy

As you know I love Sci-fi movies and books and I love great lines and I like to place those great quotes to an original  track. This time I chose "Vladimir Harkonnen" his character in the movie Dune directed by David Lynch was extraordinary  and I knew someone like this in my past. “He who controls the spice controls the universe" is the main theme of the book for those who read it, and i love this quote so much I had to do it for this track I composed, for some unknown reason i felt it had to be all break beat. This is my second Dune composition for I love it so much , I recommend reading the book and then watching the movie so you can understand it, for there is 90% of it left out in the movies. In this one I had the intro from Princess Irulan of House Corrino, she explains a bit of whats happening in the story of the super being, The mix is very rough it has a lot of sounds of computers and servers exchanging numbers and information in their unique language. This recording was meant for 5.1 speakers so there is a surround sound vital aspect for it. I hope you enjoy. By Xolo.

House Corrino (Server mix)

This track is completely Digital and was created designed and composed for 5.1 surround sound. Unlike some other tracks i used my voice as a instrument, my voice was transferred to a digital pattern in which then i modified with a synthesizer Ovation Ultranova. I used a sample from a movie call “Brake In” also featured in Fink album “Produce” but the sound  was very 1940’s i wanted modern digital structure with a small element of the 1940’s with a bit of latin sounds that were also modified in digital format. Digital Naevus Sun

In this track i wanted to start with a happy beat yet structure in atmospheric vibes, at the center of the track i needed a neutral sound with Indian, Latin and African percussion which i love so much. Forth finishing it with opaque feel to it,  as if traveling from earth to space,  unto the unknown, i added strings at its closing but limited strings for its very hard to do and set up as well edit. I  ended  the track with acoustic drums for some strange reason, i usually go with my instinct and not technicality of the overall track setting. As many of my compositions this was also designed to be played in a 5.1 surround system. The title "Saltations of Entasis"  means, jumping in the curve of eyesight…..i hope you enjoy. By Xolo

This is one of my darkest track i ever composed, i wanted to capture Doctor Lector's atmosphere and the feel Clarice experienced with him in the same room. As usual this track is intended for 5.1 surround sound, which in surround sound it sounds more insidious and menacing, if you have 3d headphones you’ll hear and understand what i am speaking of. Doctor Lector (Hannibal Mix)

This track was inspired by Dark City a great movie which also inspired the Matrix in some ways. The track is high Bit rate, so its best to listen in Bose or JBL speakers or dynamic speakers. I enjoyed putting it together, i wanted to capture the doctor’s (Kiefer Sutherland) humanity and the Visitors perspective as well. The story in the movie of the Strangers was that they were seeking for a soul and to live just as we seek to live, however they approached it under different circumstances. This is also another dark yet pensive track, that makes you wonder. I hope you enjoy "Dark City (Mr Quick’s Tuning Mix") i really love it. By Xolo

Dark City (Mr Quick's Tuning Mix)

"Man in the Stone" was inspired by a very small plate I have, i found it in the streets of Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York. Sometimes I just look at it, like art. So I name it "The Man in the Stone" which is the  art cover of this song. The composition was made in logic pro completely this time, where you can add the notes choose the instruments and then it comes to life then edit and arrange it, easy yet innovative. Even though I usually like to use my Synthesizer, I hope you like this melancholy composition its short sweet melancholy and hopeful. enjoy. By Xolo. 

The Man In The Stone

Another track I put together of General Chang from "Undiscovered Country" StarTrek, such great lines this actor had for this movie that I had to put it to electronic music. General Chang's Revenge (Kirk Mix)

Again I had to use best lines form Sci-fi movie Startrek “FIRST CONTACT", specially Patrick Steward and Alfre Woodard confrontation, put it to a semi breakbeat track Semi-tribal, which as always all my tracks are composed, arranged, edited and mix by me myself and I, I hope you like as much as I do. Picards Whale Hunt( Borg Assimilation Mix)

On this track I wanted all sounds to be very electronic and I used sounds of everyday items like refrigerators microwaves ovens  and car engines and modify them change their sound waves. I wanted to sound like it was on Titan, I hope you enjoy "Terraforming On Titan" again this was arranged composed mixed and produced by me myself and I, it is also meant for a 5.1 surround and 3D sound speakers, enjoy. On the Last track I worked on and published called "Terraforming on Titan" I had so much music written and made a final layout and edit, but that I removed a lot of it out, like left overs, so I could make it much shorter and more in tone with the whole theme of the song I was deemed to evoke. In this one I took all the parts and sections that I believed were not good, but again in my mind I said it was “Too slow" and “Repetitive" and not with the “Times". I thought about it and kept thinking about it and went on and on so I said FUCK IT I went back, and put it all in a pot and boil it again... so I hope you like it, it’s very “CHILL" and very layback like a 90’s electro vibe with a smite of 70’s funk, I hope you enjoy “MOONS OVER SATURN”, by Xolo.

“Micro Fractures” is a track that i been putting on and off in editing and construction for a long time, i was not satisfied with the 12 versions i created. In my mind i believed it was too electronic and no actual instruments as my others track contain such as violins cellos to be published. I decided to published this last version due to the fact that i believe it has to be in this editing format, it has mayan instruments and more atmospheric sounds. again this track is hyper range so its to be listened in 3d speakers or virtual sound. “Rigel is one those rough tracks i wanted to create from the beginning yet it ends on a sweet combo of classical modern twist to it, again its a track that I’ve worked and neglected for a long time. For me Electronic music is somehow in my perception how the brain works through electric signals as the stars and universe in way does as well. I named it Rigel for the constellation Orion  one of the star is Rigel, to me is a journey  traveling there that music fits the mood, a rough ride and a smooth landing. So with “OORT CLOUD” I took a bunch of loops I had laying around and from Logic Pro and just threw them in the mix, lazy type of style and shaky, I wanted to see and hear what will happen if I just put stuff randomly together, after words I edit it a couple of things, yes! I did but the rest was just stuff on top of stuff. As this whole album is called ‘GALAXYAS’ here on Soundcloud I have the title theme of “OORT CLOUD” for this track like the rest, due to its chaotic order which is the common name asteroid belt of our solar system so this composition felt like that icy rocks and gases and asteroids bouncing in space, like sounds, well i hope you enjoy the “OORT CLOUD”. I collaborated this track with my long time friend Frank. It's a very progressive hard sound and beats, I see it as eccentric and rough track, but that is the beauty of it its harness and robotic communication sounds. I laid the tracks and arranged them. Frank mixed them and leveled the soundboard we discussed its progression its slow and anticipation pace, the concept as the track went along and at the end it was amazing. its two drones speaking to each other, communicating. I had to put some drums obviously. Drums and percussions is a must with synthetic drums, it's a mirror their counterpart. I hope you enjoy “HARD DISK FRANK” by Xolo© and Frank LionShield. This was one my most fast editing ever made. A soup of sounds loops atmosphere and plain beats. It was fun putting this track together with cellos, violas, pianos, tranbone, synthesizers and technological sounds loops and live machinery sound bytes. The track is  more of soundscape then house or electro or techno. This is my final track for space experimental music. My next projects will be more inner mind exploration and soul searching very DMT, so stay tuned. Space exploration thought all my pass track was fun and innovative but my spaceship need refueling and repairs.
