The turn to the 80s is unstoppable and we can expect post-Covid dancefloors to be rich with the strains of synth pop and italo. On this new EP for Colombian label From The Void Above, Spanish producer Do Or Die adds to his who’s who portfolio of releases: My Own Jupiter, Partout, Art Of Dark, Libertine, Time Passages, EYA. These five tracks draw on his now unmistakable repertoire of spooky harmonies and rapid-fire drum machines, but it’s on ‘Heaven In Hell’ that these tropes really take flight in an arpeggiated paean to industrial synth pop – think Vicious Pink, CCP, or any number of the other bands that were re-edited by Razormaid over 30 years ago.

Undefined #12 comes from the hand of Dan Piu. Since 1992, Dan has been keeping it versatile by blending different styles of music throughout his career. We are very happy to welcome him to the Undefined family.

His 'Fantasy Juxtaposition' EP resembles exactly what Undefined stands for; versatile and timeless.

On the A side we have a straight up DJ track with a certain techno and bleep flava combined with deep luscious vocals. Aa. gives us an old nu groove kinda beat with naughty 80ies jazz and old school bleepy acid house.

The B side starts with a real old recorded 90ies track, one of Dan's first tracks ever made. A dull love romance evolves from a harmony of batteling synthesizers layered on a break beat groove and fueled with a portion of soul. A mindbending trip. The Bb rounds it off! A track that Dan created back in 1998 together with his friend Gary Rich, Take a walk to a mysterious forest with this uplifting vibe. Gary Rich was a mysterious producer himself - people may know him from his Nightstalker moniker which he was in together with Dan.

Oshana returns to Partisan with an immaculate transmission that fuses tough techno rhythms with head-twisting psychedelia. 

“Inner Dimension” leads the charge with a rush of Moroder-esque arpeggios and sci-fi FX sweeps, before “Space Gate” heads deeper into transcendental techno on a wave of heavy LFO pulsing chords. “Future Classic” maintains the skywards trajectory of the EP with a soaring bed of pads and an insistent array of bleeps fine-tuned for the hazy, dreamlike state of the early morning dancefloor. 

Oshana is on devastating form on this record, rolling out cosmically-inclined techno of the highest order.

The 10th release on BLKMARKET MUSIC features Payphone, with ‘Unicorn System.’ From the founders of Toronto’s Payphone Studios and members of the Hypnotic Mindscapes crew and record label, the Payphone trio make their label debut with 4 hardware-heavy tracks. This elusive 3-member live-act take a functional yet improvisational approach, influenced by years of chasing the wonk during late-night jam sessions.

Kicking-off the EP is the retro futurism of ‘Don E = Dark O’ - a melancholic, chiaroscuro-esque house-meets-techno track harking back to a bygone era of rave. The A2 ‘Fool Circle’ shifts gears into the afterhours with an infectious, metallic groove. On the flip, aquatic-deep techno cut ‘Sea Sex Librarian’ dubs things out with trippy vocals and a booming round baseline. Rounding out the EP, ‘Get Outta 84’ conjures cinematic dystopia with deep electro-infused breaks.

A seasoned veteran DJ for over 24 years, he's done it all. Taimur conceived the infamous Blk|Market Membership parties in NYC from 2006-2017 and was a resident. He was the head dance buyer and started the US distribution wing for many US labels at Halcyon Records shop from 2008 until mid-2014. Taimur’s work helped lead the resurgence of the local Brooklyn scene. With 17 + years of history and accolades for helping to revive one of the world’s most important dance music scenes, Taimur and Blk|Market Membership hold an esteemed position as architects of New York’s contemporary scene

On the strength of these accomplishments, Taimur has devoted himself full-time to his DJ & production career and currently resides in Miami. He launched his vinyl only record label Blkmarket Music in 2018 which features releases by Reade Truth, a 2 part Craig Richards's lost tracks with remixes by Rhadoo, Subb-an & Adam Shelton and more ; a collab between Taimur with Miami electro legend Gosub, two T.A.O (Taimur.Amo.Ostara) Ep's 'Enter your Mind' and 'Return to Life' EPs, Toronto's Hypnotic Mindscapes trio Payphone featuring Cosmic JD, an electro ep by JLM Werx and dancefloor jams by Thailand's DOTT. He's just started his new sublabel Blkmarket Music Underground Party Edits that focuses on DJ club edits. First up on the sub label is DJ Spun's - Party Edits [BUMP-E000]

Between his label, DJing gigs, and events under his Blkmarket Music banner, Taimur has also opened up his new vinyl emporium with his wife Ostara in Miami. T Bag Records was born on April 10 2021 and is a vinyl shop that is dedicated to underground dance music of many genres.
