Berlin-based Toni Dextor is all about the story you can tell with music. Using sound oscillations to
shape the atmosphere of a room,
building up the intense energy at peak time and guiding audiences through mind-melting breakdowns
are aces you’ll find up his sleeve. Unsurprisingly, his decision to become a DJ was inspired by years of
clubbing. Not content with simply selecting the music however, Toni started producing in 2018 and has
since released on some of the finest electronic labels, local and international, such as
made of Concrete, Planet Rhythm, Adroit and OFF Recordings.
Toni Dextor's style is characterized by playing what he calls “functional” techno - you can always count on
an atmosphere that makes you forget the time. In his productions he draws on memories and revives
familiar feelings.
Channeling these relatable yet unique experiences from his own club-goer adventure into his own tracks is
essential for Toni. These elements, combined with his ongoing
experimentation with production techniques make him one of the figures to keep an eye out as he
continues to push through the rungs of the music scene.

Kwartz, originally from Madrid, is now a Berlin convert, and of course a key figure in its illustrious underground techno scene. Known for his relentless, driving sound and razor-sharp production, he is a key member of Oscar Mulero's PoleGroup having contributed several releases to its extensive catalogue. He also lists many other influential labels like Bas Mooy's Mord, Setaoc Mass' SK_eleven, and Cleric's Clergy, as well as his own Order & Devotion imprint. Building a reputation for deep, uncompromising techno that balances raw intensity with refined detail, this exclusive mix is a powerful session that captures the essence of his dark, hypnotic style that's designed for peak hours and enlightening club floors. SHDW is the phantom moniker of Marco Bläsi, a Stuttgart native with a penchant for racing percussions and big room sounds. 2014 saw the beginning of his long-term partnership with like-minded techno dealer Obscure Shape (Luigi Urban), with whom he co-ran the party series and label spin-off From Another Mind. Ten years later and Bläsi has set out on his own journey, building on a decade-long legacy of sounds with just himself, ‘his music, decks, and a mixer’. Following on from his previous label, he founded Mutual Rytm in 2022, an outlet and creative platform focused on putting out the type of expansive techno SHDW’s come to be known for. His signature style a blend of intelligently superimposed and shuffling basslines, blink of an eye beats that elicit movement and social bonds. Unerring prime time techno, Bläsi’s path forward is looking promising, with a surge of Mutual Rytm releases and worldwide dates, the next ten years look set to further build on what he’s achieved since he started out. Bassiani Podcast 267 is a true to type episode from this master of the genre, a sleek and contemporary spate of rumbling kicks, dizzying effects and hedonic vibrations, a chugging and groovy 65 minute edition with SHDW’s fingerprints all over it.

In July 2025, our friends, the Avantgarden Crew, invited Lars Hemmerling and Pat Flanders to the Community Gathering in the Monom Bar of the legendary Funkhaus Berlin, where the two of them stood behind the decks together for the first time.
Still, their gathering felt and sounded more like a team that has been working together forever than an improvised set. 

If you were there, you know that. If not, much of their performance was recorded to give you a flavor of this great evening/night of performances and exhibitions, and perhaps a taste of what's to come.

For our next installment, we’re honoured to welcome ABSIS back to the series with a stunning recording of his all-vinyl hybrid DJ set at this year’s Perpendicular Festival.

Equipped with an ISO420 mixer, Pulsar-23, H90 FX, three turntables, and a crate full of heavyweight rhythms, ABSIS delivered a beautifully crafted dub session that warmed the dancefloor on Saturday morning.

Sigvard is a techno artist and producer from Belgium. Grown from a project from artist Tom Hades, Sigvard has returned to his stripped down arrangements and use of limited instruments in the studio. This has led to a more focused and direct sound that still retains the power and emotion of his earlier work.
Sigvard's music is influenced by a wide range of artists, from early pioneers like Kraftwerk and Afrika Bambaataa to more contemporary acts like Underworld and Laurent Garnier. This diverse range of influences can be heard in his music, which often blends elements of different styles together to create something unique.
