But proper Samba only comes from Rio, doesn't it? That may be so, but original Berlin Samba only comes from Berlin, attractively complimented by Funk, Reggae and Pop. Under Volker Conrath's direction, more than 30 drummers will take you on a musical journey from Bahia and Rio to Berlin.
Here you can listen to samples from our two CDs. Our first CD, "Berlin Perkussiv" is pure Samba percussion. Our new CD "Bloco Explosao plus friends" features our work with band and singer.
This music makes you want to dance.
We're especially proud to be able to feature Mestres of Bahia's three most well-known Afro-Blocos on this CD (Marivaldo Paim: Ilê Aiyê; Memeu Nunes: Olodum; Mario Bomba: Muzenza) as well as guest musicians from Rio de Janeiro and the best the Berlin music scene has to offer. Vocalists are Renato Pantera (Rio de Janeiro/Berlin) and Hans Limburg (Berlin).
