Mexican Marigolds have the most lovely fragrance and represent the fragility of life.   A song for life and love cut short.

I have been struggling with the concept of Unconditional Love, finding that in some very deep places I am washed over with anger.      Rather than nullify these feelings, I am realizing that unconditional love  does not exempt anger because we are not helpless and our actions have causality.   I choose reject blind acceptance, repression and yielding to others with the intent to harm.  We can use anger to be seen and heard, to be honest, to not pretend,  or to resist being subjugated by all the darkening undertones and imbalanced forces of socialization.   Individually and collectively, we have agency  and should recognize the impact of our words and actions.   My anger is not a rejection of unconditional love.  It is a natural and encompassing reaction.    Its a response and commitment to the protection of those whom I care about , with high regard for the right for self determination and preservation.  The right to feel safe, to defend, to express freely and experience wild beauty of life.   The only way out is through.  And I will meet you when I get there.
