Born in the Ukraine and raised in Toronto, Canada. Richards Jr gained attention in early 2020 with his first release "WITHOUT YOU" on "UNCAGE" , Marco Faraone's label. He continued his productive 2020 with further releases on Truncate's WRKTRX Label and REKIDS, Radio Slave's Berlin based label. In later years he has remained active, constantly on the rise, forming part of labels such as Truncate, Be As One Imprint, CLR, Pure Sonik, ANAØH and RSPX. He has gained support by such artists as Chris Liebing, Truncate, Radio Slave, Ben Sims, The Advent, Mark Broom, Honey Dijon and DVS1. BCCO Podcast 363 is a special live recording from Confusion's closing set at the Raserei party at Disco Zwei where he played after Matrixxman.

Confusion is a Heidelberg-based producer and resident DJ of the Raserei collective. Expect punchy rhythms, minimalist synths, and trippy pads that maintaining a consistent energy. Drawing inspiration from his roots as a drummer Confusion also finds creative influence in his appreciation for ambient soundscapes, IDM, and other experimental electronic genres.

In recent years, his focus has expanded to crafting stripped-down yet minimalistic techno tools. Alongside many self-releases, remixes, and VA appearances on labels like Schimmer Records, Duplicity, and SOPTIK, he has earned recognition with releases on platforms such as the Berlin-based SYXT, PRX Records, and Adapter. 

Confusion's music has garnered support from established artists including DVS1, Luke Slater, Setaoc Mass, Rene Wise, Marrøn, Border One, Kaiser, and Lea Occhi.

The quartz diorites (crystalline rocks) of the Felsenmeer (sea of rocks) were formed about 340 million years ago in the depth of more than 12km. During that time, two ancient continents collided and the ancient Odenwald was situated directly in the collision zone. Due to the collision rock melts have been formed which rised up to the upper Earth crust and cooled by generating huge crystalline rock bodies. The Quartz diorites of the "Felsenmeer" also belong to this ancient collision zone.
