Our next release is another debut EP - this time from the talented up and coming producer Witchdoctor. The first track, ‘Trippin’, starts with glitched sound effects and flashes of tech-ier house that give way to shuffling 4x4 drums and some serious low end on a track that wouldn’t sound out of place on the mighty Night Bass. Following that is ‘Like You’; a dark and moody Bass House stomper focused around brooding pads and in-your-face basslines. Rounding the EP off is the title track, where Witchdoctor returns to his UKG roots with chord stabs, chopped vocals, overlaying melodies and an effortless switch from 2step into 4x4.

Purple Velvet Curtains has birthed an astoundingly eclectic monster in the form of 'Piranha'. Sirens ring out during the intro warning of the impending danger to come as the track works up into a frequency feeding frenzy with as much ferocity as an ocean full of our carnivorous chums. A seriously innovative bass noise takes the spotlight as it becomes more agitated throughout whilst being propelled along by lazy drums and fluid transients to top the track off nicely.

It's been a very exciting start to the year for DJ Zinc's Bingo imprint, having brought in singles from the likes Rico Tubbs, Wittyboy, Shapes and the main man Zinc himself over the course of the last six weeks. The levels are clearly being maintained to the highest degree.

This track goes by the name of 'Keep It Real' and is a testament to both of their styles, with Barely Royal providing the perfect introductory bed of tense atmospherics and bristling percussion, over which Dread provides his ever dependable vocal additions, lifting the track higher and higher as we elevate towards the breakdown ahead.

When we get there, we are greeting by a vast gathering of lethal reesey tones and poignant LFO structures, shaking themselves from left to right and giving the track a real sense of freedom and movement. We are absolutely thrilled to be premiering this one for you today!

We introduce you to MPH, a producer who has been making major moves across both the bass and UKG scenes, showcasing his unique blend of bassline and garage rhythms, kicking up a storm wherever he lays his keyboard. 'Falling' is a perfect sunshine roller, forging the styles of minimalist UKG and techno together, with some luscious chord progressions and smooth drum work.
