Not that I'm a big one for the new labour project, but 14 years has been a long time - this version has an emotional timeline - the track stumbles into dysfunction (14 years!), comes out the other side with a church choir and tongue firmly in cheek. It's banger though!

Finished this today May 16th 2017.  Uses some instruments from my dad, a Rickenbacher Lap Steel (1939, maybe?), Fender Esquire (Japan 1984) and some of my favourite instruments, sampled drum breaks and distorted synths. A salute to Frank J. Sullivan who died last year.  Peace!

Been thinking about Jonny a lot, especially while making this tune.  There are some bits of him performing here.  Thinking about love, his ribald lack of respect, his humanity, the good and bad and how time passes and then you die.  Peace.

If you were wondering the title refers to 2 stages in a Chi Kung practice, the first (after suitable preparation) emitting chi energy to the universe, the second (and final step in the practice) to collect and center yourself.
