This lovely little piece by Debussy is a prime example of French music in the 1800's.  It's typical of Debussy with some of the runs and airs on the side of sadness with it's key signature.  It goes from minor to major so that you feel a sense of ending once the piece is over.  Pianist Srdjan Caldarovic is my accompanist, originally from Croatia- brilliant performer!

Debussy Petite Piece For Clarinet & Piano

This is my favorite of my recordings for now.  It is the most upbeat and has the most runs complimenting the piano's accompaniment.  I would imagine people dancing to this during the time period in which it was written.  There's an interlude in the middle and then repeats the main melody with a little alteration at the end.  I have a dark, deep tone on clarinet, due to the type of mouthpiece and reeds I play on as well as having an instrument with silver keys.  The barrel also plays a roll in sound production and I've been working on perfecting it for the past 15 years!  Hope you enjoy!
