German duo, Manqo are swiftly establishing their presence across the international circuit. Their first release, Won’t Change, was a collaboration with Keinemusik mainstay Rampa and it went on to accumulate over three-hundred-thousand streams on Spotify. They caught the attention of Crosstown Rebels head Damian Lazarus soon after, with Breaking Hearts acting as the first of two EPs to be released on the label in the near future, including a fab remix from South Africa's Black Coffee. 

Manqo spoke on how the track came together, stating: “Breaking Hearts was produced in our studio at Funkhaus Berlin. It was a warm summer day and when we finished it at sunset, we realised it was truly special. We’re very happy it found a home on Crosstown Rebels.”

We are thrilled to present "STOP" remixes, masterful reworks of selected tracks from Squire's debut album. Whilst "STOP" documented a time of inner reflection during lockdown, the new remixes give a different take on these unique sounds - for the now, and for the future.

Berlin based producer Emanuel Satie has left many a dance floor imprint with work on Cocoon and Crosstown amongst others. His rework of "You Make Me Feel Alive" is a stripped-back moody club mover, where his interpretation of original elements are left to breathe whilst still transporting the listener to a smoke filled room.

Kadosh is well versed in delivering an epic on his own imprint Frau Blau Music. He takes Rachel Bachman's vocal story and twists it into a haunting ethereal tale where they join a cacophony of melodic subtlety ready to soundtrack a world of experiences. 

Completing this selection of stalwart remixers come Disco Halal head-honcho Moscoman alongside Tel Aviv's OMRI. take an altogether different spin on "Salvation", where powerful synth and unostentatious percussion delivers a straight-up and unique understanding of Pilar Icazuriaga's lyrics.

Gab Rhome launches his own label in an effort to simplify the process of releasing music, thus returning creative flexibility and freedom to the productions themselves. After All That pays tribute to the classic Gab Rhome groove - a housey beat overlays soothing vocals, reigning in the ropes for the b-side. A charming melody brings light to a tune driven by a sad and reflective message, with Gab himself providing the vocal chops.

"The pace of the vocal in After All That is inspired by RnB, soul music and general warmth. In fact, it's a bit of a contradiction to In The Rain There's No Lane." It's a tune for the calmer moments, with a groove that allows thoughts to flow freely. "The goal was to go for the cream on top of an espresso: packed with flavor, comforting, and a goosebump-based cure for a sleepy soul."

Damian Lazarus’ forthcoming full length album, Flourish, continues to take shape with the release of its second single featuring vocalist Jem Cooke. ‘Into The Sun’ further explores the LP’s broken beat territories with soulful songwriting and cadence that carries it beyond the walls of clubland.

The artists showcased through Damian’s Crosstown Rebels imprint and world-class events are always chosen deliberately and methodically. Jem Cooke’s selection as the only featured artist on ‘Flourish’ is no different. Cooke is known for topline stylings alongside the likes of Camelphat, Jamie Jones, Kate Simko and others. This collaboration offers a left of centre platform for the vocalist to experiment beyond the limits of 4/4, resulting in the swirling exposé of ‘Into The Sun’.
