Dame-Music founder Bloody Mary’s ‘ALTERNATE STATES OF REALITY’ EP marks the 50th release on a label that counts KiNK, Josh Wink, Boo Williams, Fear-E and Thomas P. Heckmann amongst its roster since it launched in 2010. The release sees Bloody Mary, Tresor resident, live artist, DJ and Producer, return to her own imprint with a full EP for the first time since 2020, produced as part of her live set ahead of her upcoming Autumn tour, and complete with a remix from Soma Records legends Slam.

In the ‘ALTERNATE STATES OF REALITY’ EP, Bloody Mary explores the varying aspects of her acid sound. Equipped with her TR-909 and 303, she shows her penchant for hardware, starting off with ‘REALITY ONE’, in which crunchy drums and crisp highs ride along a mind-melting acid polyrhythm before ‘REALITY TWO’ opts for a punchy electro beat, once again drenched in squelch and occasionally soothed by soft, nostalgic pads.

Flipping over the record, the infectious marching drums of Bloody Mary’s ‘REALITY THREE’ leaves behind the 303 and swaps it out for rampaging toms below a furious, clap-heavy topline. This party-starting track is pure rhythm, expertly remixed by Scotland’s Slam, who this time supply the acid in their version, amplifying the tempo to superb extremes for a hypnotic warehouse pumper and concluding the monumental fiftieth instalment on one of techno’s most important labels.

Tripalium Corp have curated their 34th Acid Avengers release, this time including Bloody Mary alongside Human Rebellion x HR101 to the vinyl and digital series, having previously featured Luche, Laton Raver, Starving Insect, Crystal Geometry, Nite Fleit, and False Persona.

The Dame Music label boss since 2010 and resident at Berlin's mighty Tresor, Bloody Mary is a respected DJ, producer, and hardware live act, who has featured at major festivals around the world such as Movement Detroit to Piknic Electronik Australia, and beyond. Her music can be found on Josh Wink’s Ovum, DJ Pierre’s Afro Acid, and Tim Taylor’s legendary UK techno imprint, Missile.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Warped Circuit" with a raw, analogue, machine sound. Stomping percussion under a standout acid riff is later taken to new heights with a raving, stabbing synth hook to complete the classic vibe in all its glory.

The 7 Year Anniversary of Dame-Music continues! Following the well-acclaimed various artists EP earlier this year, which included tracks from Boo Williams, The Analogue Cops and Milton Bradley vs Bloody Mary, Dame-Music is back and proud to present its 36th release, this time inviting two very special guests to share the record with label boss Bloody Mary.
The Melting Point EP marks the fusion of three renowned producers including KiNK, Thomas P. Heckmann and Bloody Mary. It’s no secret that these three are acid lovers, and their combination on this release shows three different takes on the acid sound.
Both KiNK and Thomas P. Heckmann need no introduction. Bloody Mary has followed their music for many years and the Melting Point EP marks the coming together of Mary with two of her most respected acid producers, all on the one record. Dame-Music promises all three tracks will damage the dancefloor – each in their own way; just be sure to play them loud.
Over the past 7 years, Dame-Music has shaped its identity by continuously releasing a distinct blend of techno and house music. 2018 shows no signs of slowing down, stay tuned!
