The Mystic is the debut single by Oxford-based electronica outfit Bloody Fiasco. Bloody Fiasco is based around singer Don Mac and producer and multi-instrumentalist Woody Woodhouse alongside wind players Tom Lee (trumpet) and Georgia Milton (clarinet). Bloody Fiasco is a fascinating coming together of minds, Woody being an Oxford university educated physicist as well as a classically trained pianist and violinist with a long history in electronic music with acts such as Keyboard Choir and Borderville and Don Mac's background as an Oxford historian with a side-line in boxing coaching who has long been a mainstay of the Oxford music scene having co-fronted bands such as Big Speakers and Brickwork Lizards. 

The Mystic is a testament to the transcendent experiences that are possible through euphoric music. It combines cinematic strings and horns with breakbeat drum and bass in more than a hat tip to Don Mac's heady youth attending open air raves during Oxford's summers of love in the 90s. 

This fascinating combination of literary and musical explorations is a unique blend and fans of atmospheric hip-hop from Young Fathers and Massive Attack and sophisticated, sometimes neo-classical break-core from artists such as Squarepusher, Murcof and Venetian Snares will enjoy a sojourn into the world of Bloody Fiasco. The dense layering and Don Mac's often soulful vocal also evoke artists such as Moby. Bloody Fiasco are yet another exciting new project growing from Oxford's ever fertile musical ground!
