Weird Sounding Dude is a Bangalore-based music producer/DJ. Drawing his influences from the likes of James Holden, Extrawelt, and Nathan Flake. Weird Sounding Dude's trademark chuggy grooves, squelchy rhythms, and winding melodies are sure to satisfy his listeners but there are always a few surprises along the way.

Life is about evolving and as it happens with a lot of artists, only DJ’ing wasn’t enough for Weird Sounding Dude's musical odyssey, so he embarked on a journey to prove his worth as a self-taught music producer. In a very short span of time, Weird Sounding Dude became a regular on the charts of Beatport, and his music went onto gain continuous support from some of the top renowned artists such as Tony Mcguinness (from Above & Beyond), Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy Mantzur, Guy J, Nick Muir, Marsh, Armen Miran, Lost Desert, Cid Inc., Khen and many more.

Weird Sounding Dude continues to make a mark in the underground circuit by having releases on some of the most prestigious record labels in the dance music industry such as Anjunadeep, Sudbeat, The Soundgarden, Hoomidaas, Souksonic, Kindisch, Everything Will be Okay, Plattenbank, meanwhile, Perspectives Digital, Mango Alley, onedotsixtwo, Juicebox Music, Eat My Hat Music, Balkan Connection, 3rd Avenue, Tarnished Tracks, If You Wait Music, Strangers Beats, Strange Town Recordings, Stripped Recordings among many others. Well-known music blogs such as Progressive Astronaut, Change Underground,m Release Promo, Underground Tel-Aviv, When We Dip, Nie Wieder Schlafen, Melodic Deep, Bespoke Music, Husa Sounds have shown regular interest in his tracks. Weird Sounding Dude was also nominated for the MyFav Awards for the years 2014-15 and 2015-16.

Weird Sounding Dude has always enjoyed a place in the underground dance music culture with performances at music festivals such as Sunburn, Satellite Beachside, R.E.S.E.T., La Foresta (Sri Lanka), Ctrl Alt Dance, Krank, Locals District, and played at some of the most celebrated venues across India such as Block 22, Tabularasa-The Bar, Phoniex, Kitty-Ko, PUMA Shuffle, Auro, Leather Bar, Tranqbar amidst many others. Weird Sounding Dude has had the privilege to share the decks with Nick Warren, Sebastien Leger, Stan Kolev, Jimpster, Vaal, Dauwd, BOg, Ziger, Navar, Kastis Torrau to name a few.

Weird Sounding Dude also hosts two radio shows. The first show is called 'sinetone' a monthly curated podcast that airs exclusively on Proton Radio every second Monday of the month. The second show is a very special bi-monthly curated podcast exclusive for Spotify and Apple Music called "Orbis". Der Track befasst sich mit der Art von Ängsten und Zuständen 
die nicht lebensbedrohlich sind, sich aber lähmend in unserem 
Kopf festsetzen können. Vom eigenen Umfeld meist miss- 
oder gar nicht verstanden sorgen sie für ein Gefühl der Enge und Einsamkeit. 

Komplexe, psychologische Prozesse die hier eine 
zentrale Rolle spielen sind rein zum 
besseren Verständnis in drei Oberbegriffe unterteilt:

 Konditionierung → Illusion → Bewusstsein


Angst ist kein Feind, sondern ein Echo früherer Prägungen. 
Sie wurde uns „beigebracht“.
Man lernt, was gefährlich sein soll, und übernimmt Verhaltensmuster,
die sich mit der Zeit tief in uns verankern.

Doch Angst verliert ihre Macht, 
wenn man ihr begegnet, statt sie zu meiden.
Wer durch sie hindurchgeht, erkennt:
Sie ist meist nur eine konditionierte Illusion –
ein Schatten, der verschwindet, sobald man sich umdreht.
Dieser Track zeichnet eine Reise vom Erstarren zum Bewusstsein.
Vom Gefühl der Enge zur Rückkehr in den eigenen Atem.

The track deals with the kind of fears and states
that aren't life-threatening, but can become paralyzingly embedded in our minds. Often misunderstood or even completely ignored by those around us, they create a feeling of confinement and loneliness.

Complex psychological processes that play a central role here are divided into three umbrella terms purely for
better understanding:
Conditioning → Illusion → Consciousness

Fear is not an enemy, but an echo of earlier conditioning.

It was "taught" to us.
We learn what is supposed to be dangerous and adopt behavioral patterns
that become deeply ingrained in us over time.

But fear loses its power
when we confront it instead of avoiding it.
Those who walk through it realize:
It is usually just a conditioned illusion –
a shadow that disappears as soon as you turn around.
This track traces a journey from paralysis to consciousness.
From the feeling of tightness to returning to your own breath.
