Andrea Cassino is an artist who has played out a long history of high-level production credentials over the course of a fifteen-year career path. One half of the influential Cassino & Laben collaborative pairing, Cassino has seen his work hit dizzying heights. A regular on such blue chip imprints as Lowbit, Soundteller and Balkan Connection, his solo work has continued to further highlight a distinctive production style that followed a slightly deeper, tech-infused sound, supported by such industry icons as Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed and Wehbba. The monthly, "Flux", show on Proton Radio also continues to provide a vehicle for Cassino to showcase a range of like-minded talented artists.

A quartet of remixes dating back to 2011 account for Andrea Cassino's foray onto Particles. Debuting with the outstanding rework of Alessandro Diga's "Ochtendgloren" in August 2011, further remixes of Lateral Cut Groove, Simos Tagias and Danny Lloyd remind listeners of the Andrea Cassino sound while a fifth now sees a trademark remix of "Yaroun". Taking the essence and retaining the key of the original, a pulsating kick drum and grooved bass lay the foundations for haunting pads to ripple outwards across the stereo spectrum. This is then accompanied, from the mid-point, by the arpeggio so central to Rada's work which is developed further by a subtle key change to provide work of genuine skill and poise.

From Argentina to southern Lebanon, "Yaroun" further highlights its place on the underground dance map with Italian influence from Andrea Cassino.

Dustin Nantais makes his long awaited return to Manual Music after delivering one of the labels' biggest releases of last year with 'Apathy'.

The Toronto based artist delivers two delightful new tracks, kicking things off with the title track 'Last Legs'. A lovely piece of blissful dance floor euphoria that sits nicely in the middle of progressive melodic house and a more bigroom kinda sound. Sure to be dropped at many festivals this summer season!

On remix duties we welcome Argentinian rising star Emi Galvan on board, after already having released material by him on our MNL label. He brings that percussion driven South American touch which we love so much, and gives 'Last Legs' a whole different feel. Groovy!

The second original is titled 'The More You Do' and is a bit deeper and moody when compared to the opening track. The infectious bassline gently takes you on yet another trip to dreamland as the strings and arpeggiators get introduced subtly along the way. Proper emo vibes here!

Always end the thing with a bang we thought, so we asked Matan Caspi to remix 'The More You Do' and the result is nothing short of stunning! The Outta Limits label boss truly delivers on of his best remixes to date here with a driving chunky percussion fueled interpretation. Proper peak time dance floor madness right here!

Two great originals by Dustin Nantais topped off by two strong interpretations by Emi Galvan and Matan Caspi. What more can one ask for?

The latest release from Antrim’s Or Two Strangers imprint welcomes Golan Zocher back to the label for his debut EP ‘Te Para Tres’. The Colombian born, Israel based artist made his debut on the Argentinean imprint in March of this year with a well received remix of ‘Epiphany in the Woods’ by Sebastian Sellares. Also laying claim to releases on Lonya’s Asymmetric Recordings and Guy Mantzur’s Plattenbank Records, Golan now returns to Or Two Strangers for his first EP alongside remixes from Berni Turletti and Sounom & Sagou.

Beginning with the title selection Golan shows just how boundless his studio repertoire can be. While some of the Colombian’s productions carry more of a  peak time flair, ‘Te’ finds that creative place between deep and progressive house. It’s well contoured low end carries a large presence while waves of percussion and a quirky lead theme advance the narrative. As momentum builds, smooth chord changes and a delicate arp play off each other for moments of emotional charm. Free flowing into the break, timely modulation adds drama and character before melting down to a stripped piano laced section that is sure to capture the heart of your dance floor. The companion piece ‘Para Tres’ ups the energy with a driving, free flowing narrative. A rolling low end sets the track in motion as buoyant themes and lively rhythmic concepts move through the framework. Rising atmospherics add depth and intrigue as drifting harmonics and a poignant melodic theme lead into the main break. Impassioned and hopeful, the one minute interlude sits as the emotional core of the piece, slowly saturating your senses before a timely drop resets the framework for a heartfelt finale.

The first interpretation of ‘Te’ is provided by Berni Turletti  who returns to the label following his ‘Surround Us With Love’ single from July of last year. Hailing from Cordoba, the Argentinean artist is fresh off a contribution to Nick Warren’s ‘The Soundgarden Miami Sampler’. Now presenting his first remix of 2019, Berni puts a dubbier twist on ‘Te’ with great results. Backed by a warm, full groove the Argentine’s detailed drum work and subtle harmonic shifts quickly appease the senses. Metallic designs add a flair for the dramatic while emotive chord changes and a tranquil storyboard set up the main break perfectly. The nearly two minute interlude is a feast for the senses, as it ebbs and flows through cinematic soundscapes before a flurry of drums sparks a euphoric build and exhilarating finale.

The second interpretation of ‘Te’ is provided by Sounom & Sagou who make their label debut here. The Dutch duo have found a home on Paul Hazendonk’s Manual label family having appeared on Cinematique, MNL and Manual Music. Now fresh off an EP for the UK’s Flemcy Music, Sounom & Sagou debut on Or Two Strangers with a heady interpretation of ‘Te’. Engaging from the outset, it’s warm, tightly knit framework is crafted to perfection with spacey effects and ethereal melodies converging for the ultimate sonic story. Fluid bass stabs carve out a free flowing groove while buzzing synths and haunting overlays lift the mood higher as the main break commences. Perfectly timed, the track’s centrepiece is dramatic and direct, dissipating to a gentle sonic sizzle as the groove drops for one final rush. A brilliant remix from Sounom & Sagou which rounds out another must have release from Antrim’s Or Two Strangers imprint.

D.Jameson returns to Stellar Fountain after his remix for Pedro Capelossi released in January with his new original music called 'Obsydian'. Hungary based producer Laszlo Molnar's career shifted into the next gear two years ago with numerous releases on Massive Harmony, and it was only a matter of time to get attention from his fellow countrymen at Stellar Fountain. This time he brought us a very spacey melodic techno with a good drive which will surely earn its support from whom likes creative club-music. For the remixer duties we asked Praveen Achary, a really big gun from India (microCastle, Replug, Manual, Movement and so on), and we are really happy for joining us after many years. He produced a perfect club-banger, you will hear it in many-many sets in the next couple of months. We also have man of the moment Dabeat from Colombia who has extremely busy two-years behind him with prestigious releases on Soundgarden, Beatfreak, Clubsonica or FSOE, and we're lucky to have another quality production by him which rounded very well into the release and makes it a must have for everyone.
