Celebrating it&acute;s fourth anniversary in 2021, Transensations Records proudly presents the third edition of it&acute;s biggest anual compilation: the V.A. TRANSENSES III.
For the 3rd edition of the annual compilation, the brazilian label put together artists from all over the globe, choosing carefully high quality tracks which are able to tell a complete history with a beginning, middle and an end.
From Organic to Progressive House arriving to Melodic Techno, this compilation englobes all genres which have been delivered by the Brazilian label, since its start.
Transensations&acute;s label managers Gorkiz and Pedr&auml;da carefully selected 17 tracks of high quality, from great names well known locally as Gui Milani, James Saboia and Korb, to rising international artists like FJL from Argentina, Ryan (Cub) and Disto (SL) and also counts with the female presence represented by 2 talented Brazilian producers, Lusii and Marye.

| From the Middle East to Central America and Russia, a trio of artists blend their talents. Out of the darkness and into the light, Golan Zocher, Gux Jimenez and Mango build a stratified sonic masterpiece from “Only a Shadow”. Subtle organic layers amble through a forest of percussive saplings that sit beneath a towering beat and subterranean groove. Emerging in the dappled moonlit shadows, evocative motifs create an eerie atmosphere before a bassline force springs from the undergrowth and into the open, prowling beneath luscious melody.

Harnessing familiar energies from the darkness, Dowden hypnotises with a new poise and grace. “Only a Shadow” forms in the twilight as white noise crashes in pulsating waves. A mesmerising bassline hits the Toronto streets where it forges a path through pinpricks of melodic light and a seething, rolling rhythmic groove. A pioneering sonic architecture is forged from exquisite St Petersburg and Sao Paulo landscapes. Bassline and synth lines fire off each other in playful interaction and melodic beauty swirls in coruscating patterns of delay and intrigue. “Only a Shadow” is transformed into an iridescent array of sonic colour and uplifting brio by K Loveski & Gorkiz. |

Ending the year on a high having witnessed a plethora of musical highlights, Meanwhile has been a shining beacon for progressive house throughout 2021. Now, Australian, Mike Rish, becomes the latest debutant to showcase his talents on GMJ & Matter’s blossoming imprint with the 3-track “Beyond” EP.
 
From his home on Australia’s south-eastern coast, Mike Rish has witnessed an impressive rise to notoriety, courtesy of a clutch of high-profile releases on an exclusive set of blue-chip labels. Not wanting to flood the progressive house scene with a swathe of formulaic dance music, the Melbourne resident’s “selective output” is based on a carefully thought-out commitment to “keep people engaged, but also wanting more”. Thus, Rish’s work for the likes of Colorize, Serendeep and Juicebox Music, has seen the Australian carve out a sizeable niche for himself, further enhanced by March 2021’s 12-track “Interlinked” album for UGENIUS Music.

Opening his Meanwhile account with the “Beyond” title track, a chunky beat and cavernous bass groove sit tightly against off-beat hats and snare. Filtering into sonic range, an elegant arpeggio provides glorious melodic interplay as white-noise washes and meandering pads pulse gently across the near 10-minute piece. Full of spine-tingling atmosphere, additional melodic phrasing is introduced at the breakdown before extending into the third movement with ease, combined with a raft of effects and masterful touches.
 
A bouncing bass groove immediately finds “Mindgame” oozing with hypnotic force and low-end menace. Sat perfectly in between deep kick and ticking hats, a flowing melodic line ripples across proceedings as it rises and falls with filtered dynamism. Twisted vocal cuts and acetylene-edged synth effects pitch with glissando range adding to the aural collage in a track full of dark and mesmerising beauty.

 Closing the EP, “Here For You” is characterised by an intricate percussive arrangement that introduces a subtle melodic backdrop. Effects and textured pads span the stereo stage in modulated glory as a pulsating lead melody enters the fray in the second movement. Building steadily before revealing itself fully in the stripped back breakdown, the second half blossoms in commanding fashion with a pulsating confluence of rhythm and melody. The result is a track that illustrates Mike Rish’s unique talent and technique.
 
A musical triptych full of innovation and sonic narrative, Mike Rish has gone above and “Beyond” with a glittering display of production prowess.

As we edge closer to the monumental 100th release, we proudly unveil ODST092, featuring the unmistakable sound of Will DeKeizer. Known for his intricate, melodic productions, Will returns to us after the success of his Sapphire EP earlier in 2023. His latest offering, Moon Spirit / 2000 B.C., marks his continued evolution within the progressive house scene and is the third-last release of the year. Wills previous releases with onedotsixtwo, including Sapphire, have earned support from progressive house giants such as Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, and Guy J, among others. Moon Spirit showcases Wills infectious, intelligent low-end grit, well-crafted melodies, and hypnotic rhythms, creating an emotive journey that is sure to resonate with both fans and DJs alike. First up on remix duties is the ever-impressive NOIYSE PROJECT, a prolific producer whose releases on Sudbeat and The Soundgarden have made waves across the underground scene. His take on Moon Spirit delivers a peak-time interpretation, driven by cleverly crafted percussion while retaining the essence of Wills original. On the flip side, 2000 B.C. is a more driving, tech-laden affair, perfect for late-night sets. Dutch legend Roger Martinez steps in with a remix that pushes the track into even more ethereal, otherworldly territories. Were thrilled to welcome Roger back to the label, known for his collaborations with Secret Cinema and regular support from Guy J and John Digweed. Martinezs remix brings his signature deep, transcendental touch with that magical je ne sais quoi only he can deliver.

Bursting onto the Progressive House scene in mid-2020, Fausto Javier Loza has carved out quite a name for himself with his FJL production moniker. Since a debut on Balkan United, the Argentinean producer has found his music allied to such esteemed imprints as sister Madlochs Sound Avenue and 3rd Avenue, Roger Martinezs HIGHER STATES and Mangos all-conquering Mango Alley. Now the Rosario resident from the province of Sante Fe, debuts on Proportion with a 3-track EP of the highest order as FJL presents his Alter Ego / Losstower / Rare Wizards EP. With a deep, fizzing bassline narrative running throughout the triptych, Alter Ego is a chunky rhythmic powerhouse that sees a chest-thumping kick paired with a deliciously grooved bass pattern creating a sublime rolling pattern. A kaleidoscopic array of effects and risers are scattered across the 6-minute piece as a delicate arpeggiated melody gradually evolves from the low-end foundation. Pulsating white-noise washes and a hypnotic dance-floor vibe add to proceedings in an impressive opener. A Tech House vibe infuses Losstower with its plethora of stereo-panned effects and sub-bass groove. A series of cleverly treated vocal effects add to the sonic melange with their eerie overtones, while meticulously programmed hats and shakers provide dancefloor urgency. Subtle melodic flourishes add to the overall feel and the result is a production masterclass from the FJL studio. The final offering sees Rare Wizards immediately showcase its club-friendly credentials through house rhythm and hypnotic bass sequence. In keeping with its partner tracks, a flurry of deep, dark and powerful effects make their presence felt alongside evolving textures and immaculate melodic touches. Layer upon layer of evermore intricate sounds come to the fore, felt especially keenly at the powerfully pulsing breakdown, before returning to the dramatic rhythmic urgency and plethora of effects that create a track bringing to mind such maestros such as John Digweed, Quivver and Jamie Stevens.
