Greetings guys, Hope you’ve had a great week. We had an awesome line-up of music for you on this show with some of the very finest promos and brand new releases. Not only that we welcomed back to The Sounds the brilliant producer and amazing Dj Endemica. He originally started as a sound producer in 2008 under the name Deep Active Sound. Subsequently, he took up DJing, He has been featured on so many different labels Such as Large Music, Loco Records, Plastic City, DeepClass Recordings, UM Records He has an amazing quality of sound in his production work, and he is an awesome Dj as well. He will be bringing us an exclusive guest mix in the second hour of the show. This month, we have put together this labour of love mix to showcase the delights of the sublime 'Nordic Voyage Recordings' from Iceland who are celebrating their 3rd birthday this month.
Nordic Voyage Recordings is an underground movement dedicated to deep melodic music and culture. They are located in the Arctic Circle, a group of DJ’s, music producers, artists and designers. They are on a voyage and each release continues to astound us with their unbelievable quality and array of talent.
 
In our opinion, it has firmly established itself as one of the leading and most respected deep, organic, melodic house labels around.
 
Hopefully this mix, will give you a feel and flavour for the musical delights of Nordic Voyage Recordings!

We welcome Nick Retz a.k.a Retza for the second edition of Soundscapes. Soundscapes curates an artist every month who specializes in crafting unique compositions which transport listeners on an immersive journey through the sonic landscape.

Retza is an exceptional producer hailing from the vibrant city of Melbourne and is currently based in London. With an unwavering dedication to his craft, Retza has captivated the underground music scene, drawing in listeners, garnering praise, and amassing a loyal following over the past few years. His unique blend of house and techno has set him apart, earning him recognition and acclaim from industry peers and music enthusiasts alike.

Retza's musical journey began like many others, fueled by a profound passion for music and a burning desire to create his own sonic landscapes. Starting with bands in his formative years, he soon transitioned into solo productions as he matured and honed his artistic vision. His repertoire encompasses a diverse range of genres, seamlessly blending elements of house, dub, techno, and everything in between. Notably, he headlined a captivating set in Dubai at an event hosted by the iconic All Day I Dream, curated by the legendary Lee Burridge.

Additionally, Retza has found a home at Satya label, where his creative vision aligns with the product, design, and overall vision of the label. His music, carefully crafted over the past year, resonates with his passion for spacey house, providing a transcendent experience on the dance floor.

Retza continues to push the boundaries of his artistry making his mark on the electronic music scene with a string of upcoming solo releases and collaborations on the horizon. He has recently embarked on a thrilling new endeavour as the host of his very own show on Bloop Radio London, a platform showcasing his ever-evolving musical creations and sharing captivating tracks he discovers along his journey. Following on last month's theme. As patina is the surface expressing what's underneath, lustre is the energy that emanates outwards. The tracks in this mix have a warm, gentle but driving depth to them. There are some feelings in here that I associate to the sense of power held by aged wood, as both a strong material and a soft expression of life.
