@roland-leesker is a legend. The producer and DJ is best known as the head of iconic dance music label, @get-physical-music and during his time at the Berlin imprint he’s grown the label to become a leading institution in house music. But it’s Leesker’s own love and passion for house that’s the driving force behind his work, from debuting on the Frankfurt club scene in 1989, to working with icons such as Laurent Garnier and Ricardo Villalobos, to learning the ropes of the music business in order to support rising talent. About to release his new single 'The Demon At Rashomon', we sat down with Leesker to chat about his journey with Get Physical, and what we can expect from him and the label next.

Interlude w/ Dean Mir - 27.02.23

I was honoured to make my official debut at the modern day Plastic People..... my home town's Ramsgate Music Hall. Furthermore, to be warming up for the iconic James Lavelle, added extra excitement.  

The event itself arrived in what was undoubtedly the most difficult week of my life. With the utter selflessness of my loving wife, and her insistence that I still play, I left her bedside with the promise of smashing it for her. This recording is for Siofra, for when she is well enough to listen back to it with me. I can't wait to have her front and centre for the next one!

Kyrro is a sound designer and producer based in the Netherlands.
Kyrro grew up in the '90s playing electric guitar and experimenting with synthesizers.
Originally French, adept of hardware and instruments, he loves producing soundscapes and mixing deep musical genres of analog eras as well as channeling emotions through digitized sounds.
Since 2011, he lives in Amsterdam where he’s constantly shaping his dubby and ambient Electronics as he continues on exploring new musical horizons.
