Kirill Matveev’s most uncharacteristic release up to date is jam-packed with unforeseen exquisiteness featuring the voice of Amsterdam born, raised in New York and adventurer in Russian lands: Amy Pieterse. The theme of this EP is based on an icy feeling layered composition, with glitch yet atmospheric pads and of course, with Amy’s majestic vocals as the cherry on the sundae.

For this vocal-dub-wise experiment, MixCult Records also welcomes cuts by Nicolas Barnes, dubtommy and Overt, each of them being adequate for certain moments in a journey driven DJ set.

Our 22nd release is the result of a collaboration, Between Bekø and Melon. The collaborative music writing can be seen as a night session seance for the guys, as they arrive from the evening straight into the early morning hours. This time, two tracks can be heard on the EP, both based on house foundations with a deep tech twist. Enjoy listening.

alex&tony, a DJ-duo from Wiesbaden, Germany, have known each other since their childhood. Last year they also got together behind the decks, playing gigs in Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main area. Their multi-layered mix of minimalistic, deep and groovy sounds paired with breakbeats creates an energetic, positive vibe on the dance floor. As a part of the Keep It Simple collective, they organize events in Wiesbaden at the 60/40 bar.
