Rich Towers is an DJ/Producer from Manchester (UK) He got the bug for dance music from his first trip to Ibiza in 2011 and started DJ'ing shortly after but didn’t get into production until 2020 and already has releases on 3rd Avenue, Bekool & RYNTH to name a few and has got more exciting projects in the pipe line. Organic, Progressive House and Melodic Techno are the main styles that he loves to play for his listeners. He runs a party in Manchester with fellow Dj/Producer and friend Mazayr called 'Right Frequency'. They've had successful events at some of the great clubs across Manchester over the past 5 years.

Heat is the name of the game with this week’s Moonlight Mixtape, courtesy of Mexican DJ/producer Kokiyo, who incorporates Latin America’s rich musical heritage into a prolific production career that includes releases with Hoomidaas, Cafe de Anatolia, The Purr, and Elebated. The latest edition of our mixtape series  leads with a sultry vocal track that sets the tone for an hour of dynamic cultural texture laid over an unshakeable organic rhythm. Kokiyo’s a master of mood, juxtaposing cinematic clips of violin and piano with star-crossed moments of ethereal melody. This week’s spicy style is underscored by the instrument-heavy vibes that give the flavor of live music with the feeling peak-time club nights.

We welcome Anastasiya Kazantseva a.k.a pumbum, for the sixty-fourth edition of the 'Deep In Mix' series. Pumbum hails from Krasnodar, Russia, and is currently based in Moscow. The inception of her musical odyssey can be traced back to an encounter with the mesmerizing sounds of electronic music during a friend's return from ABGT 200 in Amsterdam. Little did she know, this moment would become the catalyst for a transformative passion that would shape her future.

Her love for crafting melodies started at a young age, graduating from piano school and participating in choirs and competitions. However, it was the electronic music that truly captured her imagination. The pivotal experience at ABGT 300 in Hong Kong marked a before-and-after moment in her life, igniting a fervour for electronic music that couldn't be extinguished. In the face of the challenges posed by the global pandemic, Anastasiya seized the opportunity to dive deeper into her newfound passion. Enrolling in a course led by PROFF (Vladimir Ershov), she honed her skills in electronic music production. What started as a personal exploration soon evolved into a desire to share her creations with the world, leading her to embrace the role of a DJ.

Anastasiya's musical preferences reflect a diverse range, with a particular fondness for Organic House infused with Progressive influences, alongside Afro, Melodic, and Deep House. She has received support from artists like PROFF, Alexey Sonar, Armen Miran, RIGOONI, Christian Monique, Tvardovsky, Ruben Karapetyan, Maxxim, etc. Her forthcoming Organic House track titled "Leo" is set to be released under the Where The Shadow Ends label. It's a noteworthy inclusion in the 'Autumn Serenades' compilation on one of her favourite labels. Additionally, her experimental remix of Baud Rate's "Brownstone Summer" on the Sumer Melody label, originally a nu-house track, unexpectedly emerged as one of her standout works. Further showcasing her versatility, pumbum collaborates with Studio Deep, Maxim Zatonski, Nastine, and Cafe De Anatolia on the track "Harmony" slated for release under the Cafe De Anatolia label.

As Anastasiya continues to carve her path in the electronic music scene, her creative journey promises to be a captivating symphony of melodies that resonate with audiences around the globe. Keep an ear out for pumbum, a name set to make waves in the ever-evolving world of electronic music. She encourages the listeners to take a moment to unwind and let their mind drift away to the soothing power of good music.

With dance music roots that stem from a love for 2000s trance and techno, Texas-born Andrew Pinkowitz turns lifelong curiosity into creative opportunity by diving beyond the static noise of daily life into the deeper textures of organic house. Pinkowitz’s productions blend the ethereal and the melodic, creating dynamic dancefloor explorations of darkness and light. Digital life in the pandemic age brought about his first release, a collaboration with Mexico’s Ricardo Angeles released on Sound Avenue in 2022. That track, “Hidden Pathway,” was followed by entries on Singularity, Quite Right, Daydreamers, Amulanga, and The Purr. His work has received support from the likes of Hernán Cattáneo, Death on the Balcony, and St.Ego. Pinkowitz holds residencies at Mambo Ibiza Radio and Organic Deep House Radio.

Closer to home, Pinkowitz is a collaborative leader in the lush landscapes of Colorado’s rising melodic house scene as a member of the Sky Terrace Collective. On the decks of Denver’s Beacon, 1134 Broadway, and Bar Standard, he fashions discourse from downbeats, combining danceable favorites with uncommon treasures and samplings of works-in-development. Pinkowitz’s affinity with audiences forms compass points in sonic journeys that have led to direct support for Wassu and support for Eduardo McGregor, and which guide his path toward innovation and evolution in the years to come.

The lyrics portray the gentle transition from night to morning as a metaphor for awakening, clarity, and inner peace. Darkness slowly dissolves into light, reflecting a shift from uncertainty to calm awareness. Written in 2013 during a journey through the Altai Mountains in Siberia, the verses capture the quiet, expansive atmosphere of that landscape and the introspective mood it evokes. In the end, “floating high” symbolizes a state of emotional clarity, freedom, and serene elevation.
