Simon AKA Sneffinsky Born and raised in the beautiful Ahr Valley in western Germany, Sneffinsky always had the calming natural influence of forests and small mountains, which has been inspiring him ever since. Until today this connection has continuosuly grown and there’s no place he feels more at home than the outdoors.
After moving to Cologne in 2017 his deep passion for the world of electronic music was awakened by the local scene. In 2019 he made a first step & started mixing music himself and got to play at a few small gigs so far. His style is continuously subject to organic shaping by many artists of different electronic genres,
which now results in a fusion of progressive, deep, melodic house and techno, through which he can best express the synergy of nature and music united in his soul.
His fundamental concept while playing music is to let people dream and join him on a journey through other dimensions of perception.
Being really just at the beginning of his musical journey, he is positively looking forward to what is yet to come – hopefully releasing his own productions in the future.

"l have experienced a lot of different electronic types and styles during my musical biography witch began in the 8oies as a teen with Postpunk and dark wave and develloped further with Ska, Reggae, Jungle, Drum 'n Bass and Techno. Reggae and the Jamaician Soundsystem Culture had also a big influence to me, especially the ruff and heavy basslines of dub and raggamuffin....

So music is much more than entertainment to me and shaped my personality by getting much energy from it. 
And this is something, what I want to bring over in my diverse and gengre overarching mixes.

After many years, I started mixing music again during the covid pandemic time... 

My set building is very intuitive and quick...like you would do it during a live set...and I never correct a mix, even if there are some kind of flow interruptions or other aspects, which could be perceived as unharmonic for the listener. 

In fact, it's not my priority, to make a clean and harmonic crossing from one track to the other. 
Normally every track stands for a certain facet or state of myself in that moment...and sometimes I combine very ambivalent things, which I find very interessting. 

I never know exactly what will be the result...I am curious and often surprised about the output."

Born, bred and based in Los Angeles, Augustine is the co-founder of Burning Man camp, Never Sleep Again, which is the daughter project of the Berlin-based record label, Nie Wieder Schlafen. As an active member in the underground electronic music scene in Los Angeles with ties to Berlin, he has fine tuned his ear over the years and cultivated his lust for tracks with deep rolling grooves, interesting melodies, rich textures, haunting vocals and chugging bass lines. Drawing from his vast musical knowledge, his style pushes the boundaries from conventional to experimental, by fusing together different genres of music and eclectic sounds in his sets.

Einen Tag lang war er ihnen bereits dicht auf den Versen. Er musste mit bedacht vorgehen, eine Gazelle aus einer gut organisierten Herde zu reißen, war sicherlich kein Kinderspiel. Er war nicht unbedingt der Größte und Stärkste seiner Art, doch dass würde ihn nicht von seinem Vorhaben abbringen. Sein Hunger war einfach zu groß.

Langsam aber sicher zog sich die Sonne hinter den Horizont zurück und die Gazellenherde machte sich daran, Wasser und einen sicheren Platz für die Nacht zu finden. 
Er folgte den Tieren wie ein Schatten, sehr vorsichtig und immer aus der Deckung heraus, beobachtete er akribisch genau die Hornträger. 

Kurze Zeit später fanden sie wonach sie gesucht hatten. Die Tiere brachen aus ihrer Formation, verteilten sich und begannen Wasser aus dem Flussbett zu trinken. Er wusste, dies war seine Chance. Schnell lokalisierte er das Tier, welches seiner Einschätzung nach am weitesten von der Herde entfernt war. Noch war es zu hell für einen direkten Angriff, doch sein knurrender Magen übernahm die Oberhand und er begann sich an seine Beute anzupirschen. 
Er ließ alle bedenken und letzte Zurückhaltung hinter sich und wurde schneller und schneller, schon hob das Tier seinen Kopf. Mit einem kraftvollen Sprung erreichte er das verängstigte Wesen. Noch bevor das Tier zur Flucht ansetzte, grub er seine spitzen Zähne in seine Flanke. Die Haut war straff und riss auf, dass Fleisch war warm und zart, Blut tropfte aus der Wunde. Er verbiss sich immer tiefer, mit einem Rück biss er ein großes Stück Hüftfleisch heraus und das Tier schrie vor Schmerzen und Panik. Es versuchte sich mit seinem schmächtigen Geweih zu wehren, doch er hatte bereits alles was er wollte. Das große Stück Fleisch hing in seinem Maul, das Blut tropfte in sein Fell und er rannte so schnell er konnte. Hinter sich hörte er Geräusche, doch er drehte sich nicht um. Er flog beinah über den sandigen Boden, bis er einen Mannshohen Felsen erreichte. Dort ließ er sich erschöpft nieder und stillte endlich seinen nagenden Hunger.

Das heutige Set, KataHaifisch Podcast 099, entstammt den fleißigen Händen von Maurice Mino & sin:port und ist eben so kraftvoll, wie der eben beschriebene Wüstenwolf. Ein interessanter Mix gespickt mit vielen verschiedenen musikalischen Elementen und Einflüssen. Verspielt zusammen gesetzt und versehen mit der optimalen Portion atmosphärischen Grooves.
